Congrats guys.. you whooped us well!

I have a special affinity for Frankfurt, so it doesn't hurt as bad as it should.

Still, I could go for an Äppelwoi right now...

Cogratulation to yesterday´s victory against Schalke.

    What´s a game.

6:0...it was such a aggressive style of play of Frankfurt....amazing...great..
Klinsman was probably very impressed by Frankfurt boys. I saw him on T.V how she smiled. Maybe he need some Frankfurter Boys to NT.

    Excellent performance from Frankfurt yesterday.

    The best game of DFB!.

    -- FRANKFURT - BIELEFELD -- 3-0 --

Pretty good game against Bielefeld today!
The first half was a really bad game, from both sides, tough Copado brought us up with a great freekick. The secnd halftime we dominated and won it easily. When we were up 3-0 in the 54th minute i allready thought it would end at 6 goals again, but the team slowed down and just easily brought it home against a really really bad Armina... I think Oka Nikolov didnt have to actually keep a single ball...

Meier was brilliant again, and scored twice! This guy has so much talent! we will have tons of fun with him! Copado was great too!

Once again we showed that we are at least as good, if not better than many of the other 6 bottom teams. We have played 4 of them now, and won all 4. Mainz and Lautern are still to come...
Hannover seems to be sliding down into the struggle too, so that would be 8 teams alltogether fighting relegation. I doubt that BVB and VFB will actually get in trouble by the end...

Well done Eintracht. Another step in the right direction. A season ticket holder who I know, reckoned that Funkel wasn't upto the task in the 1.Liga. Well, recent results are starting to say otherwise.
However, about VfB though Doc, they are looking poor under Trap.

Thats true, but Im pretty sure he will be gone soon (after the 3-0 here in 3 weeks :D) and then they should really have enough potential to get a save 9th or 10th place in the end... not more though...

By the way, a little comparison to our situation 2 years ago when we were relegated in the end:
After the 12th matchday, we had conceived 19 goals, just like we have now, but we had only scored 9, while we have 14 this year! We were only able to win 2 games and get 8 points back then! This time we have 13 points, and won 4 games! We were on relegation-spot 16 back then! Now we are on 12th place!
All this just makes me kick back and relax! And I can absolutely do that, as I am 100% sure that the team doesnt... I havent felt that confident for my team for quite a while...

I wouldn't be so confident about your team, but these are positive developments for your team. They are seemingly in a real good patch of form at the moment. Let's hope they can ride it through.

Unfortunately, this seems to come at expense at Cha Doo-Ri... :(

thats the coolest thing! everybody still thinks that we are one of the worst if not the worst team in the league in terms of quality! And after every game we win, i only hear people talk about how bad the other team was... but thats perfect, i hope it stays that way and we can always be the underdog!
but the truth is that there really are teams that are way worse than us. i have just watched nuremberg vs stuttgart for example. nuremberg was a total desaster... kaiserslautern is not much better imo, duisburg gets destroied regularly lately...

but our team is by far not at its maximum yet. they are very young and have to learn a lot yet, but they are on the right way! and no doubt that they will have bad streaks again, thats just normal, but if they keep developing that way, than we shouldnt have a last-matchday-relegation-battle again this season....

and yeah, its really unfortunate about Doo Ri, he is my favorite player! I mean you just gotta love this guy! but hes just too nice and way too inconstant, he will have trouble becoming a starter in first division...

    I'd say talentwise :

    -Nuernberg
    -Kaiserslautern
    -Mainz
    -Duisburg
    -Bielefeld

are all less talented than Frankfurt. I don't see you guys struggling to stay in the league. You got off to a slow start, mainly because of all the tough early games you had to play, but now your off and i think if you continue playing like this then you could end up as high as say 11th or 12th.

Holy ********, 6 minutes played in the Mainz - Frankfurt game and two own goals by Noveski (Mainz) already. What's the record on own goals scored in one game? Gregoriak? :D

Does anybody have the 2nd goal and Noveski's face after he realises?

Well, it ended 2-2... AND Noveski scored :)

Frankfurt were horrible today, it gives me a little confidence for our trip to Mainhattan next week.

And until the 85th minute (when someone else was booked), it looked like the match was Noveski vs. Noveski... he was actually the only name on the scoresheet. Two own goals, a goal, and a yellow card by then, and no other player had scored or been booked.

wow, how much does that suck?
i cant believe we didnt make it, we were so dominant throughout the whole first half and could have been up by 3 or 4. then in second half there was a 4 against 1 situation for us at a counter-attack but we didnt use it, and then all of a sudden mainz came back... and we let them come back... amanatidis was horrible today, i didnt see a single good scene of him... at least preuss seemed to have a good game for once, hope hes finding his form! The only one that fought for every single ball from the beginnign to the end (like he did in every other game) was jones! you gotta love the kid! he always gives 150%!
in the end i guess i have to admitt that the draw was fair, as both teams clearly dominated one halftime each... it still sucks...
well at least we took over not only their whole town but also their "stadium" (if thats what you wanna call it) and showed pretty clearly who really are the number 1 in rhein-main! theyr show was even more redicúlous then i expected it to be, a club like mainz playing "youll never walk alone" before a game just makes me sick... its time for them to go back down to football-nomansland and play in front of 5000 again like they did up to 4 years ago...

    time for an update!

things are going well! with a little luck and a victory in gladbach we could actually be on 6th position for the winterbreak... unbelievable!
i always knew this team had tons of potential, its definitely showing it.
The 2-1 in Kaiserslautern was a little lucky, but for example the 2-0 against dortmund was a great game!

we have now won against ALL bottom teams, except for Mainz... That was the only time that we lost points against a team "on our level"...

What more can I say? I LOVE this team.... ;)

Well, the first round is over, and for us the season so far is clearly split into two halves!

In the first 8 games, the young and inexperienced team had to pay plenty of tribute! We gained 4 points and only scored a mediocre 3 goals! After the 8th matchday and the 1-0 loss to Schalke we were dead-last!
Then something happened. I dunno what...
But in the next 8 games, we gained incredible 17 points, scoring 18 goals and only losing once, and that in Bremen!
Now the loss in Gladbach was extremely bitter, but I think it was good that way, because had we won that, everybody here in Frankfurt would have gone off talking abou the european cup... its almost like in cologne... ;)
The game showed clearly that we are not yet on the level of "upper-midtable-teams" like gladbach. in terms of playing-culture and potential we are, we showed that in the first halftime, but in terms of cleverness adn experience, were not. its been the 5th time this season that we give away a lead...
we have to realize that our only goal still has to be a 15th spot! Too much can still happen this season, to feel safe yet...

But the situation we are in is looking good!
Actually the future hasnt been looking that good for Eintracht since probably 10 years. We have a young and extremely talented team, with some great guys in it!

If you compare this to the situtation we were in only 3 and a half years ago, when we were allready with more than one leg in 3rd division... (i dont even wanna think about that time)... now the club got its finances straight, we have an awesome stadium, an average attendance of some 40-45 thousand, and we have a team that is on a great way...

I guess there are all kinds of reasons for me to lean back and relax and enjoy the indoor-tournaments during winter break ...

I personally cant wait for January 28th!

not too good... at the last league-game in Gladbach he messed up quite a bit...
in the cup against nuremberg he was offensive again and played a fairly good game! there havent been too many recently so i guess thats a good sign... ;) he was twice in front of teh goal and messed it up (like always :D)
the guy on tv said somethign like: "Du Ri Cha is definitely one of the best athletes in the Bundesliga, unfortunately he is also one of teh worst football-players..."
If he could only be a little more effective and use his chances, Du Ri would be awesome!
Oh well, we love him nonetheless!
We always sing his song, even if he doesnt play...

    Du Du Du Du Duuuuuuu
    Ri Ri Ri Ri Riiiiiii
    Cha Cha Cha Cha Chaaaaaa
    Duuuuu Ri Duu Ri Chaaaaaaaaaaa!

Wow, that was a bad foul on Spycher by Freier.
That looked like a broken shin, I hope it's not that bad though.

Not even a yellow for that...

Spycher may be out for the rest of the season. Thats really bad, as he was extremely important as our left back. as chaftar is also hurt, it seems like Reinhart has to take over that positioin. dont know if thats so good, he just came back after long injury...

But there are good news as well!
The semifinal is played in Frankfurt against Bielefeld.
IMO by far the best we could have gotten...
Chances of going through are pretty high I would say...
I cant wait for April 11th to come! :)

I guess Im not drunk enough (by far) to understand that.
Ill work on it and read it again later tonight... :D

But if you were gonna say that we will outplay and win against Berlin tomorrow and show them how to play attractive football, then I can only agree with you... ;)
