He would be great...Borghetti probably could find a better team, though, probably in Spain or Italy.

Imo Frankfurt doesn´t need a "Knaller",
they have a team that showed last season,
that they deserve to play in Bundesliga.
I think, they already made good transfers,
cause players like Jones and Meier like to play for them
and olders like Rehmer can prepare the other players,
what they have to espect in Bundesliga.

Talking to a friend in Mexico,he has told me that there is an interest from Eintracht Frankfurt for Borguetti.A spokesman of the club of Borgetti in Mexico (Pachuca) has said that he will only leave to Frankfurt if they buy him for aprox. 1 1/2 million dlls.

Considering Borgetti is 32 years old, what do you think about Frankfurt really taking him?

    Re: Eintracht Frankfurt

Yeah, I think the whole Borgetti thing is already over again...
our manager Bruchhagen said in an interview last week that he wasnt considering buying him...
Alltough we could pay the 1,5 mil as we have pretty much exactly that much left in the budget for new players as i read somewhere, i think it is too expencive for a player that is that old and really doesnt fit in to our concept for next season.
The concept is clear and simple, the players have to be young and germanspeaking...
I still would have liked to see borgetti here, but as i said, i think it is too expencive for a player that age... plus it wasnt like the club picked him and came up to him. Actually he came up to teh club and said that he was available...

Question: when did Eintracht change their crest? I looked at it today on SkySports and I thought it was Alemmania Aachen for a second:

    SkySports, lol.

Why did they take the crest of an Oberliga side (Eintracht Sondershausen plays Oberliga) of all teams.

Due to a sponsor-contract with aero-flight (used to be aero-lloyd) Eintracht has now got its own airplane!

From November one they will be able to fly to farther awaygames (like bremen) with it...

Lucky as I am, I got to see it when I was leaving for hollidays a week and a half ago, as it stood right next to teh plane I was boarding :)

really cool if you ask me...

btw they are still trying to get amanatidis for this season...hopefully it works!

    Re: Eintracht Frankfurt

Watched the Besiktas game on TV last night and thought we looked very strong at the back. Spycher looked the part and seemed quite strong going forward and Rehmer lookes like he can still do a job. Huggel seriously lacks match fitness, he was way off the pace and lost the ball a lot. Van Lent took his goal very well, but I still fear we'll struggle upfront unless Lautern decide that hanging on to Ama for another season isn't worth it.

Not a bad performance, collectively. Apart from a number of hefty challenges, it was typical pre-season friendly stuff, becoming even scrappier as the raft of second half substitutions and lack of fitness took their toll. Besiktas are a pretty good side and put some good moves together in the last quarter particularly. Their equaliser was well-taken and well-deserved.

On last night's evidence, I think we can surprise a few people this season, especially if our midfield get their act together.

Who's going to start for Frankfurt on defense? How will they line up? 3 man backline; 4; 5? And will Ochs start?

    Re: Eintracht Frankfurt

I work for a statistics company in the UK called Opta (very well known if you have Sky Sports) and my job is to compile live stats for the Bundesliga (i.e. each pass, shot, corner, foul etc).

The team I will be watching is Eintracht Frankfurt. Unfortunately i haven't been given any videos of them playing last season so i don't really know their style of play or their set piece takers.

I have their squad list and i've identified a couple of key players from looking at last season's starting line-up but i was wondering if anyone could give me the primary formation and players (and their position) they used last season and is Alex Meier their main set-piece specialist?

Sorry for the long post but I would be grateful for any help :)

Mmh, Eintracht Frankfurt, that´s difficult to say, cause they can play variable.

From what i watched last season in tv, Alex Meier should be in starting formation,
South-Korean Do-Ri-Cha, who is very fast, but miss a lot as far as i watched, too.
Markus Pröll was last year their first keeper, made all matches except one.
The new players Rehmer, Huggel, Spycher and Preuß should also be in starting 11.

Think this could be a possible line-up (./.) = unsure, who plays :

    ----------------(9 Van lent/20 Copado)---------------
    (7 Köhler/13 Jones)-------------------------11 Cha----
    ----------------------14 Meier -----------------------
    -----30 Huggel------------------------4 Preuß--------
    -16 Spycher-33 Rehmer - (17 Cimen/5 Vasocki)-2 Ochs-
    ------------------------1 Pröll------------------------

If Meier is injured or something is Weisseberger will propably play..
But i don´t know the performance of the guys in training,
so it´s a combination of how they did test matches and
    how i rate the players.

Here are videos of the test match vs. Istabul
    and many others test matches,
also 2.BL matches from last year:
    Istanbul 1
    Istanbul 2
    Instanbul 3

Better ask the Doc, he´s the expert.

    Re: Eintracht Frankfurt

I dont know i think its really hard to tell whos gonna play for sure...
I dont think copado and cimen will.
On the other hand Amanatidis surely will start after like the 2nd or 3rd matchday when hes back in form.
plus if Chris Henning manages his penalty-problems with FIFA and is allowed to play again, he will have a shot at a starting-place too...
i guess we'll have to see, but youre lineup looks quite ok...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    today in Eschborn: Eintracht-KSC 2-0
    1-0 Cha
    2-0 Preuss

Huggel, Spycher, van Lent and Amanatidis didnt play...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

@Eisenfuss: I think the videos that you postet are only from fans at the games arent they? usually thats what they do at that website anyways, i was too lazy to download and watch em now....

From what i watched the videos show also scenes of the match
and some other information, that could be useful.
It´s made by fans, but they did it very good.

Ouch...Arminia are pretty boring to watch at times, but Buckley surely wasn't so bad?

But eh...Eintracht can't be much better. Cha is their most exciting player, and he's inconsistent.

I get the live feed from German Satellite (Premiere?) so i won't actually be in the stands.
For all those that are actually going, hope the game is a spectacle.

And regarding Armenia, it was pretty tedious watching them....all this passing in midfield and no end product...and then one long ball and Buckley puts in in the net!

Dude, whats your'e problem with Eintracht anyways?! :D
Have you even seen a single game of last season?
They did actually play a pretty nice football and scored the most goals in what was imo one of the hardest 2nd BuLi seasons ever...
And the game didnt consist only of Du Ri, even though he certainly was a star player... how could a player that played WC games before not be a star player in 2nd division?!
Of course its gonna be a hard season, but comparing them to Bielefeld? Nothing personal against Bielefeld, but I dunno about that...
But you might see what I mean on the 13th... I will be there anyways...

Yea I noticed that I am hard on them too...*meh* oh well, you can't praise every team. Thats like being a fake friend, praising them while they don't extend the same praise. :D
