Well I guess neither of us was right... it ended 1-1... Imo a lucky point for Hertha who played a horrible second halftime, and were absolutely outplayed. All they did was trying to destruct our game, they barely had any good scenes themselves, and played extremely rough with severall hard fouls... Im just glad that none of our players got hurt there... After a pretty boring first half, with one good Chance for us and a goal for Hertha that couldnt be more lucky (Nikolov basically put it in himself...), Eintracht found to their game and started one attack after another... severall times extremely unlucky, such as Rehmer hitting the post from like 1 meter away on an empty goal... After Jones finally scored the 1-1 and Madlung got red-carded in the 70th minute or so, it was basically Eintracht-powerplay. Hertha barely even got out of their half anymore... But the ball didnt wanna cross the line again. At the end Referee Weiner decided to top of his horrible job today by ending the game after only some 5 seconds of overtime. And that alltough Frankfurt was just given a promising freekick from right outside the box. I dunno what this guy was thinking, but iirc 30 secs per goal are to be given, plus there was a red-card, many fouls and a very obvious timeplay by both Herthas goaly and Marcelinho when he was taken out just 2 mins earlier... oh well, in the end, i guess we can live with this point. at least no other team from the lower ranks gained any points on us! thats the main thing... greetz, Äppler
nice game! and oh so important!! once again we showed that we clearly are a level above the "bottom teams". We maybe 3 or 4 levels behind the "top 4", but when it comes to games against fellow relegation-struggelers we regularly dominated them so far... dont have time to write more now... I need me some Ebbelwoi!
I've noticed you only seem to post when your team wins, Doc oh well, still played a good game yesterday...and it was nice to see Amanatidis play well.
Well done for beating Bielefeld and reaching the cup final. It looks like european football for you next season too!
Jup, so is Preuss. Jones didnt seem really fit yet on tuesday. He surely isnt gonna start against Mainz... Rehmer has a big questionmark behind him too... We need a win against Mainz, nothing else counts! But im pretty positive that we can do that. Then another 4-6 points out of the last 4 games and its done... Honestly this team is just too good to go down... /arrogant-mode=off
ye jones is officialy out for the season. We should have won against mainz today but funkel kept on playin 5-4-1 he wanted a draw
i didnt really see it that bad. we dominated mainz and had severall great chances. it just didnt wanna happen, thats just your typicall bad luck when youre stuck down there in relegation battle... and besides, who else is funkel to bring as another attacker?! copado? naaah, dont think so... as long as lautern dont win today it was an allright matchday for us... coulda been better obviously, but oh well...
After our win in Stuttgart and Bayern stumbling in Mainz, I'm starting to look forward to next Saturday. After all, earlier this season, we played Munich off the park for 70 minutes in the Waldstadion until Scholl came on. I hope I can get a decent price on Frankfurt to win the cup ;^>
For those who speak german, this is from the OFFICIAL BVB Netradio http://rapidshare.de/files/19946709/LEXA_DUNKELROT.wma.html too funny
Yeah, with lots of playtime next season, he should do good imo. He's made for a lower 1. BL club like Frankfurt.
I agree, he can definitely help us out! Glad to see that we can actually get players like him again! I cant wait for the other new guys that bruchhagen will get us. Im sure there will be a couple more nice ones comin! Then, when everybody is fit and healthy again, we might actually have a pretty nice team together! Momentarily, names like Azauagh, Hanke, Streller, Sanogo and Sobis (a 20 yr old brazilian) are around the local media a lot. Well see what happens...
