I predict a vary different line up this weekend, that is to say United lining up in a 0-0-0. Still with this switching around I don't see any possible way we can get a win, though I'm sure we won't lose.

I'm worried about injuries in this one. The post match drink-up will surely lead to a stubbed toe or cracked forehead.

I am predicting a draw which neither team fought over.

Thin Air better watch out. We have some physical players capable of breaking wind!

I have a good feeling that no legs will be broken during the course of this game.

Meridian, this thread is even dumber than your last one about sticking Heather in you butt! You should be ashamed of yourself for bringing down the collective level of discussion on these HOLY and SACRED Boards!

oh, I thought you say ONLY/ flames and trolls... Ooops my bad!

As for the Nobodies. They seem like shifty characters because I know that Mr. Nobody was always breaking stuff around my house when I was a child... :)

I say it will be like the Chicago game. Nothing happens. 0-0 draw and most everybody goes home wondering why they showed up in the first place. Ian Plenderlieth finds the possum more entertaining.

The good news is it'll be peaceful. Nothing to agonize about. Rooting for DC United sometimes feels like being wed to the one of those Metro toothless crack whores that Lanky talks about.

This should be a sticky like all the other prematch threads.

So Convey, Eskie, Rimando, Olsen, Petke and Earnie are gone. Etch is out with surgery. Santino is still out. Barclay's out. Reyes is obviously not available. Nelsen is out with the red. What's that leave us with ...

    ------------------Warren
    Ivanov---------Prideaux-----------Stokes
    Carroll----------Alegria---------Kovalenko
    --------------------Q2
    ----------Hristo----------Curtis

That leaves us with 10 players ...

So we'll have the functional equivalent of 9 players! That ain't helping.

I thought maybe Trask could start. And then Ray and Punky would be available as subs.

There's no prohibition against coaches and canines suiting up is there?

We can insert Thamlin as a Lone Striker in this formation, you know to handle all the 1-on-0 breakaways. :D

Thamlin! I hear he's as fast as the wind so he should do well against thin air.

At least this 0-0 draw will be less painful to watch.

I predict DC United will not yield a goal this weekend and we won't score either. --May the streak continue!!! :)

--Now, out to the bars I go... I want to see if I can keep my miserable "scoreless" streak going :)

Officially, the minimum we can have for this game is 7,055, but seeing as there will surely be a tailgate in lot 8 (or wherever), and Chico always manages to bring a few friends, I'm expecting an actual non-game-time crowd of 8k. That said, it'll be listed as 12k on mlsnet.com and will look like considerably more on noncast tv coverage.

If you turn her down before she can turn you down, then at least you can get a point for the tie. And even if you don't score, you can still serve a noble purpose and get an assist for your buddy!

This match is gonna be very ugly.
Stoichkov subs in at about 78 min..
Score is tied nil-nil, and he takes exception to a near linesman offsides call.
He comes in late, spikes high, taking out the linesman and the 4th official.
Not to be outdone by his coaching subordinate, Ray executes a glorious tackle on the Ref, breaking BOTH legs, and the ref's pinky toe.
During the ensuing melee, the ball is blown into the opposition's open non-goal, scoring our only
Mother (nature) of a goal for the season.
