This match is tape delayed for those with digital cable. So let's be careful with the spoilers and keep most of the discussion in the official threads.

There will be an AIM chat during the match. You do not have to be an AOL member to participate. The software is free and available here.

Assuming you’ve installed the program and registered a screen name here’s how you enter the official chatroom.

    1. Under the “People” menu choose “Send Chat Invitation” (or press alt-c).
    2. In the “Screen names to invite” window type your AOL/AIM screen name.
    3. In the “Chat room” window type in BigSoccerDCU.
    4. Click the “send” button.

Alternatively you can use this thread for PBP discussion.

I'll put up the post match thread now and open it by the 80th minute.

NE must really be hurting. Noonan and Fabro are they're starters? That's not exactly the dynamic duo.

We're playing a 3-5-2. Should be better at maintaining possession and countering NE.

From the mlsnet event log of the game, it sounds like we're doing quite well.

Warren just made a great save in the 50th minute to deny Ralston but he hurt himself on the play.

He ended the first half splayed out on the ground after a coliision and I don't know if it's the same injury.

Geddes is warming up but Warren looks like he's staying in.

53rd minute, Warren just made another nice save, again on Ralston, coming out to deny the angle and blocking the shot with his shoulder or face, I couldn't tell.

And while I'm writing this, he charges out to deny Noonan.

Warren A) appears to be OK, though he is limping, and B) is good!

60th minute, still 0-0, Revs make the game's first sub, sending in forward Chris Bagley, a developmental player they just signed from A-League champion Charleston for his MLS debut.

    He came on for Noonan.

Sorry, I was watching the scrum in the Yankees-Sox game.

While I was away, Jay Moore came on for Kamler (the ex-DCU shuffle) and Hristo came on for either Cerritos or Martins.

    84th minute, still 0-0.

    Stoichkov for Martins

This is such an uninteresting game. Nothing noteworthy or remarkable yet.

United's been posessung the ball most of the past 5 minutes or so but no real scoring chances are coming from it.

    89th minute, still 0-0.

Leo Cullen on for Cancela, who limps off. Revs out of subs, barring a Bradley.

Ironic, in that if nothing changes, the result would be noteworthy.

Sad, but true. OT might be a tad more interesting. I can see Eski or Alegria coming on if we go for the win or Ivanov if we go for a tie.

Start of OT, Prideaux called for a penalty taking down Bagley.

Ralston takes the PK, makes it easily.

And it's over. F this crap. Another game we lose in OT. I'm so damn tired with this OT crap. Why the hell can't we get over this (there needs to be a winner" mentality. Crap like this is why the rule should be changed.

I'm listening to the radio. Should it have been a PK?

    Yes, but it's still bullshit.

MLS needs to do away with OT. Period.

While I agree that MLS should scrap OT, this season more than any will cement that OT stays in place..

At least 10 games have been won in OT this season (4 against United sadly enough) and nothing proves the point more solidly than positive results, and winning 10 games in OT is a positive result in the leagues eyes..

As for the PK, absolutely it was the right call.. Poor play on Prideaux's part..

How so? There have been more ties in OT than wins ( 10 wins to 38 ties). That's hardly an impressive number. 1 out of every 5 games results in a win. Why play OT when there's no guarenteed winner?
