Damn Todd, I'd take RDA at this point. We ain't doing squat with one forward.

I think the Q2/RDA connection would work wonders on the field and in the stands.

How else are we going to get fans to come to these last 2 games?

I think this post hits the nail on the head.

Ray's got to put the best 11 players on the pitch to have a chance, it's just our misfortune our best are all defenders and MFs (I mean midfielders, not what you're all thinking!)

Don't forget, DC's tried the freewheeling style already this year and gotten pounded too. You can only go with what you've got.

Tino said it best recently when he said this team lacks any true finishers. Everybody's a creator, and without a decent target player DC is left with hoping they can dribble it into the net.

However, I do hope Q2 gets the call Thursday.

Ever the optimist, I'm going with DC 2, MET 1. Don't ask me why...

Q2 simply has to play now.. Moreno is now out for the season..

We are going to get crushed on Thursday....

Like it or not, without Moreno this team is worse than pathetic.. For all the crap Jamie receives from my fellow "fans", he does pose at LEAST a threat to the opposition and demands their attention..

Who on this team now demands that type of attention?

    Lassiter? Curtis? Zambrano?

    I don't think so..

These last 3 matches have the potential to get rather ugly (not that most games haven't been that way recently) and look very much like the United/Metrotards game on August 25th where United was completely impotent offensively..

If Hudson comes out with another 4-5-1 formation on Thursday night, I will volunteer my services to have him assasinated on Friday afternoon after they return from New York...

Better start cleaning out your bamboo pole and poison dart kit, because I'd bet the farm on a 4-5-1 at 7:30 on Thursday.

    Ray,

    A friendly reminder...

You get 10 field players. Regardless of the formation and roles you assign, there seems to be a generally accepted rule of thumb that you should split that number evenly between 5 primarily offensive players and 5 primarily defensive players.

With Ryan hurt, you probably won't be tempted to play with 6 instead of 5 primarily defensive players this week like you did last week, but better safe than sorry.

In fact for a team that's struggled scoring, you might want gamble on your goalkeeper early in the game and even encourage defenders like Milton to really help press the attack early in the game. Get that first goal at all costs and then worry about defending your lead.

    Chris

    PS Ben isn't a forward. He's a winger.

PPS Richie isn't a forward either and probably shouldn't be seen ahead of Marco on the field--especially not inside the 6 yard box on corner kicks in their end (I've seen him there more than once this season).

Oswald's not available, Hinckley is still in Butner, NC, and Woody Harrelson's dad (the gunman on the grassy knoll) is still locked up though never formally charged. So it looks like it's all up to you - I hope you have a good middle name, all good American assasins do.

I'm in favor of putting Rimando, Reyes, and Olsen out there with eight drunk UMD frat boys. Our three badasses and eight guys who only look to score.

To quote that movie that they kept playing on the Jumbotron:

    "I'm scared."

I fear the two hours I will spend watching this game that I will never get back in my life. Yet oddly, I still know that I will watch.

Trying to get insights for your attempts to lure "Cletus" ;) into a skandal involving a case of Zima, a stretch limo made from a Jeep, and an Armadillo?

I think Cletus has it on tap in his house, along with Bud and Bud Light.

I just rented X-Men on DVD. I will be switching over to it if Ray plays the 9-1 again.

I think United better think about putting these in their trousers. I mean, it's quite frightening really.

Indeed, and perhaps they need to sign a tall, blonde geek with glasses.

Mmmmm, maybe there is a reason their Goalkeepers keep going down to major injury - first Simpson and then Ammann... Nicky I'm sensing a curse with this team... :)
