After the match folks ... Until then a couple of us are in the chatroom. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/digichat.php No flames No trolls No nothing else naughty.
Is that a crap field or what? I could have sworn I saw Jimmy Hoffa's hand grab Olsen by the ankle and trip him.

Finally!!! The field looked even worse than DC's last trip up there. That also ranks as one of the dirtiest games I've ever seen in MLS. Lots of players on both sides could have/should have been sent off.
True, but we got it done tonight on the road without Jaime, Tino, or Ryan. We still have a fighting chance. If we play 3-5-2 again and McKinley is one of those 3, his lack of speed won't be as abusable. LOOK WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE PLAY WITH 2 FORWARDS ON THE ROAD....HOLY CRAP IF WE HAD DONE THAT ALL YEAR WE'D BE LEAGUE CHAMPS.
Thank God for a win on the road. A lovely goal!! (Wink!) That mess of a field is exhibit 1A wht we need soccer-specific stadiums. What a joke and an insult. I was out of the room when Ty said something like "he was a great soccer player, but a loser in everything else in life." Who was he talking about? Did I hear Castro? Lassiter?
A road win................did I have my TV on the wrong station????? Random Thoughts - We are going to miss Reyes on Sat. I guess Namoff get sthe start unless ITT gets healthy in 48 hours. - You have gotta love the "Grizzly Adams" look from Benji - What an ugly game - Maybe we should rename them the Metrobabies for all the crying they did - Well based on the fact that they were barely 12 Metrosuck fans in the stands, including the hero who turned his jersey inside out after the loss, the should not be any worries about a fan invasion on Saturday
OK, I think I aged about 10 years in those last 15 minutes. I can't remember the last time I was so nervous watching a game...maybe because we've been so bad Nick Rimando, you are my hero.
Luck was on our side with Etch's goal, but still that was a hrad free kick to defense. I thought that given the field conditions the five man midfield did very well, especially for most of the second half. They kept possession, created some dangerous chances, stayed lively. Now if we had any forwards worth a damn, we'd have ourselves an offense. And, yes, I thought Convey did well in the middle. Pairing he and Etch was very good and Olsen and Villegas complimented them well , with Williams doing some nice dirty work. Rimando was big big big again. Reyes- what a warrior. Just too bad he got tyhat yellow for decent I guess. At least that's what I thought, given his reaction after the foul was called. Saturday's game is gonna be a war. I pity the ref who's assigned to it.
The Atlantic Cup ... Current results ... Game 1 - DC United 4 : 2 MetroStars Game 2 - DC United 0 : 1 MetroStars Game 3 - DC United 1 : 0 MetroStars DC United 6 points, +2 goals MetroStars 3 points, -2 goals So the MetroStars must win the final match by three goals to win the Atlantic Cup - assuming goal differential is the tiebreaker ... Right?
