Let's keep all discussion during the match in this thread and in the AIM chatroom to avoid spoilers. Again, this game is being televised on a 5 1/2 delay so we need to be extra careful. I believe this match is webcast live. The link is in the first post of the pre-match thread. There will also be an AIM chat during the match. You do not have to be an AOL member to participate. The software is free and available here. Assuming you’ve installed the program and registered a screen name here’s how you enter the official chatroom. 1. Under the “People” menu choose “Send Chat Invitation” (or press alt-c). 2. In the “Screen names to invite” window type your AOL/AIM screen name. 3. In the “Chat room” window type in BigSoccerDCU. 4. Click the “send” button. Alternatively you can use this thread for PBP discussion. I'm also putting up the post match thread early. It'll be closed for now but I'll open it at around 9:15 EST. No Flames - No Trolls
who is this guy doing the play by play on WMET? sounds like he should be doing comercials or a game show host, instead of a soccer game
Couldn't resist taking a peak at the score (let's just say it's good!). Even still, I'll stay up tonight to watch the game.
1-0 DC AT THE HALF LET'S WIN THE F'ING GAME>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>PLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
I was thinking the SAME THING For those not in the know, I heard it was a Stewart FK, Petke headed off the post, Benny on the rebound Guevera supposedly flopped in the penalty area and got the Puke a penalty, which rooster (Mathis) hit off the post That's just from listening to the game though didn't see it COME ON..................LET'S DO IT THIS WOULD BE HUGE
I'm so nervous about this half. The future of this season hinges on the next 45 minutes. Plus this crack head announcer's mile a minute pace on WMET isn't helping my nerves.
2-0 Earnie steals from Bartolomeo, goes 60 yards on a 2 v 0, slots to Cerritos - Goal this goal has got be a howler..cant wait to see it
Stewart's got 2 assists so far as the offensive mifdielder. Maybe this could be a sign of things to come?
That's terrible news, my condolences. And Peter Hirdt had just mentioned this: "Nick Rimando is on the verge of breaking Peter Vermes’s MLS mark of 6066 consecutive minutes played. Rimando has a current streak of 5938 minutes—dating back to July 4, 2001—so he could break the record during this weekend’s home-and-home series vs. the Metros." At least you're going to win...
It doesn't make me hate you Scum any less, but I was sorry to see Rimando go down, especially on such a freak non-contact play. He's a good keep who deserved better than that. I do hope it's a sprain not a tear.
