This is a golden opportunity to kick a team when it's down.. Colorado will be without Pablo and we will be missing Earnie and Bobby and possibly Marco (he got another card tonight, not sure of his status at the moment)..

Nellie will be in uniform barring injury on Sunday versus the US...

Tough to call this one.. The win on Saturday night should do wonders for their confidence and hopefully they will ride it on through to next Saturday night at home against Columbus....

Eliseo + Etcheverry with Ali and Alecko up front?

We really need to thank the New Zealand coach for letting Nellie play in the game against the Fire and this one as well, again barring injury.

    Eskandarian Power

Is it just me or what, but I'm sure hoping Eskandarian will find his groove soon in Stewart's absence, so that Ernie can be placed in the midfield where he will be more dangerous & productive

Eskandarian has been pressuring balls on the defensive line, but still hasn't done too much that I'd call inspired yet.

Sure would be great for him to find "the touch" with Ali as a strike partner, that sure would be some combo!

I really havent understood why Esky, a green rookie, has been starting while Ali rides the bench.
Ali and Esky need to again switch roles for this match.
The absentees are gonna hurt, but if Q2 and Ali can keep that spark of Sat's 1st half alive,
We may get a streak goin here.
Still, it's gonna be a long nite.

Colorado is a team that is down right now. Wasn't impressed with them against LA. We need to be organized in the back b/c that's the only way I see them scoring (so Nelsen being available at D-mid is a godsend).

I think with Convey out, Kovalenko moves to central midfield. Then either Eliseo or Barclay plays at outside midfield. I think strikers are Curtis and Eskandarian--but, Stoichkov might earn a start (in an effort to grab a quick goal). In any case, Hristo does play.

I like that lineup but I think we will see Namoff/Chino slot in for Bobby in the middle and keep Q2 and Ali up top.

I was thinking the same thing but I seriously doubt that Hudson would put an untested Barclay out on the same side as Chris Henderson on the road.. At home maybe, but I don't think this will happen..

I do like the looks of that lineup though considering what we will have to use...

This will be a very big test for us. It's a good thing we won last night. I can't imagine us going into this game winless without Bobby.

To be honest, I feel sorry for Ryan. I don't like the idea that he has to play so many games in such a short amount of time. I pray he stays healthy.

    As for Wednesday night...

Definitly start Ali. He played wonderful on Saturday. I'd rather put Dema in the middle with Marco. He's been pretty active the last two matches, and I think that he has shown more "attacking" presence than Eliseo. But, I do think that Eliseo plays better in the middle than he does on the wings. Given that, maybe he should start there with Dema on the wing. But what does it matter what I think… I don’t decide these things.

I don' t like this line-up but let's just say, I wouldn't be surprised if we see this.

    ------------------Nick

    Brandon------Mike-------Galin

    ----------Chino---Ryan
    Ben-----------Marco------Dema

    -----------Alecko----Ali

If Santino is healthy, maybe we’ll see him start in place of Alecko. I’d also like to see Devin soon.

i think so too. I liked Ali's speed running up. But i dont like q2 being in the mix. keeping him away from the front line seems to be the best way to keep him from being shot down.

    They pull it out 1-0.
They notch their second win of the season, thus destroying our hopes of ever being a good team

I agree with that !! We do not have a real midfield at this time. Except for Dema none of the other midfielders are really a threat. Ech had sugery and he is a half engine, Olsen is really going down and Nellie will have his hands full with Colorado attack. Our inept strikers are not gonna pull it by themselfs, they are far away from scoring unassisted. So, the logical conclusion is that we will see a Colorado ofense pushing for a goal all the time. I am particulary worried about their midfielders who are comming from behind and can put a good shot in the net and the game is over we lose again !! It is on their turf, they will put a lot of effort into it. I think, we are not going to do the same taking into account that saturday we will face the Crew at home and in Colorado we play in "thin" air wich will weare us down.
