Regardless of the loss last night, I think it showed us that we do have options. To come back from 3-1 at the half to nearly tie it 4-4 while one of the biggest losers is reffing the match away from home is quite a feat in my eyes. We shall slaughter them. I say nothing should change form last night.

Maybe start Stokes over Prideaux? Not sure though, it seemed he was doing better but I can't be certain as I only heard one announcers point of view. Rimando...now it seemed Wilson was playing keeper last night but again can't be certain. Anyhow, to all those who are making the trip out to Ohio, be wary of the HP's they suck giant donkey balls, and bring the noise for the team and us back home!

I used to hate the crew. Hate the town theyre from. Hate to the point that a yelllow jersey was offensive to my eyes. But this whole mess isnt even worthy of apathy, much less frothing at the mouth hateing. They chased off Razoz, after they chased off Cunningham. Thier fans hate thei players. Hell, their fans dont like each other. The only topic crew fans can agree on is across the board hate for the druler. And the fancy german word for joy at the suffering of others (isnt that spite?)? I dont even think United embarrassing the crew at crew stadium can get me excited.

I am lying. I will be greatly pleased when DC thumps these bozo's. Hope it wont be the game that the druler finallly gets let go.

This should be an easy game for the guys. Despite our historic bad performances at sCrew Stadium I think we can easily pull this one out. I'll look for almost the same lineup as against Chicago but I am thinking Stokes starts over Prideaux.

    'SigmundFreud', was it? :)

All that said, the Crew are capable of putting together nice (short) stretches of soccer occasionally. Since we're not exactly tearing it up defensively...

I'll be content with a draw, and ecstatic with a win.

i suspect we'll see the same starting lineup, however i would be pleasantly surprised if we get the 2nd half starting lineup including stokes and freddy on the field...

This is a big match. We NEED the 3 points. The team has to get itself firmly into playoff position to offset the nearly inevitable loss of points that will occur as the games start to pile up in late July and throughout August.

When was the last time we won in CCS? We tied one match and lost one last year and in 2003, we lost both matches there in 2002, lost in our only appearance in 2001 and tied in 2000. In other words, we haven't won there in at least 4 seasons. I'm hoping for a tie.

The team's be so abysmal on the road for several years now. Is there a non-RFK facility where we are decent?

If we would've played our regular starters for the full 90 after the Pumas debacle we would've won there this years.

I'm hoping we explode against Columbus offensively. We just have to keep it tight in the back. I'm sure Nowak will be focusing on that in training before the game.

Here's hoping that Nana gets a run. It would be nice to see Freddy start since he seems to do pretty well against Columbus. I'm expecting Jamie and Gomez to rip it up.

Also, is Bush back in nets for the Village Peeps? If I recall correctly, it was his goal keeping that kept us from winning the last one in the Village People's village.

    I'm thinking 3-1.

Busch will have a problem playing with a knackered ACL. However, we will have Jonny Walker in goal which we are all deliriously happy with as you can imagine.

I know this will sound pretty simple, but we have to get the lead. Outside of the opener, we haven't had a lead on the road all season long. Getting ahead does so much for this team. It opens the game up and forces what will be a more desperate than usual Columbus team to come after the game and leave the field open for counter attacks.

One sobering thought has occured to me though. If we lose this match (God forbid), that means we have lost twice to the second worst team in the league at their house.

    Not good.

FWIW - I ventured over to the Crew pre-game thread. They say Buddle may have tendonitis in his Achilles tendon. They were speculating that he may not play or will play without being 100%

    https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=214537

The Crew without Buddle would make this game easier for our defense.
