Don't be sorry. Remember what happened to the 1st leg winner in last year's Zenit-CSKA cup tilt. As I remember, seems to me Zenit has a winning record overall in 2005 vs. the Horses (league+cup games, 2 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw if memory serves) and that CSKA ain't done so well at Petrovsky lately.

Hopefully Petrzhela might find it in his heart to find a place for Arshavin in the starting XI in teh return leg, don't quite understand this "Kozhanov & Gorshkov were adequate replacements for AA & Radimov, and Flakhbart is a better defender than Anyukov ( double  )" logic of Vlastimil's.

the wheels have clearly fallen off this team. If not for those last 10 minutes in Spain...the air went right out of the team at that moment, haven't been the same since.

    Italy's referee withdrawn

The Italian Football Federation have withdrawn referee Massimo De Santis (pictured) from the showpiece, as they continue their investigation into football fraud.

FIFA and UEFA have been informed that assistant referees Alessandro Griselli and Marco Ivaldi have also been removed from taking part in Germany.

"This must not be considered in any way prejudicial of the legal judgements, which are the exclusive competence of judicial bodies, both ordinary and of sport," the Federation said.

Milan, Lazio, Fiorentina and Juventus are all also under investigation following a taped phone conversation between the Stadio Delle Alpi general manager Luciano Moggi and a Federation official, who was responsible for selecting match officials.

The referee-fixing scandal has rocked Italian football at a time when several former Juventus players and Gianluigi Buffon, are also being investigated for illegally betting on matches.

It looks like Jo has been playing very well... Is he really as good as his goal totals would indicate, or is he just benefitting from good service?

Yes he is really good one. but as you know strikers nowadays are too unstable to be estimated well. Sometimes they score in loads, sometimes they don't score at all. Varies all the time.In modern football, goal scoring depends on wing players more than on strikers and CSKA have really good players there too. ;)

Jo has been nothing short of spectacular this year. Excellent on the ball, scores with his head, his right and left foot. Oh and he can pass too :)

Olic and Vagner are different strikers. Vagner is more technical while Olic posseses great speed and a great work ethic. Problem with Ivica is that he's very injury prone. But he's still a fan favourite.

Well, from reading red-army.ru ( not the most objective of sources I know) we dominated the match and Krasic was awsome.
