Columbia played some very good football in their opening game and the All Whites didn't. The All Whites have to lift their game or Columbia will run all over them. Saturday morning (at 5am here in NZ) will tell the tale. Crowdie.
Both teams need the win, no doubt, and Colombia had an ok performance against France like you pointed it out. I expect NZ to come out charging from the get go, we'll see what happens.
Three Changes to the All Whites All Whites Head Coach Mick Waitt has made three changes to the side to play Colombia in the FIFA Confederations Cup in Lyon on Saturday morning (NZT). Captain Chris Zoricich and midfielder Mark Burton will miss the game through injury and are replaced by Danny Hay and Raffaele de Gregorio respectively. Zoricich has an ankle strain and Burton a medial ligament strain, both picked up in the 3-0 loss to Japan. The other change sees a straight tactical swap with Noah Hickey replacing Aaran Lines in a wide attacking role. The full team is: M Utting, G Davis, R Nelsen (Capt), D Hay, D Oughton, I Vicelich, S Elliott, R de Gregorio, C Killen, V Coveny, N Hickey All other players barring Zoricich and Burton will be named on the substitutes bench. Mick Waitt said changes were always likely: “We were always going to make some changes in what is a tough schedule of 3 games in 5 days. Injuries to both Chris and Mark forced our hand there and in the case of Aaran while he didn’t have the best of games against Japan, we are also keen to introduce the pace of Noah with the intention of getting him in behind defenders, something we failed to achieve against Japan.” The mood in the camp has lifted noticeably after the Japanese defeat, with Waitt confident that is behind them: “We must all get our heads up and forget Japan but more importantly put it right against Colombia and judging by the mood on the bus tonight (after training), I think they have done just that.” Ryan Nelsen will captain New Zealand for the first time at senior level, but has experience with the 2000 Olympic team. “I have mixed feelings right now, said Nelsen. “I feel thrilled with the honour but also sad for Chris and the injury that has kept him out for now. This is something I have dreamed of since I was a kid and look forward to immensely. I will have great support around me though, with many senior players having been there and done that already in their careers, so I don’t think much will change.” Crowdie.

Got his own rebound which was off of a free kick clearance. Pretty lucky if you ask me, but it still looked good as hell.
I've been le doing a le translation and haven't been paying much le attention. But NZ is still le winning.
Degregarion is smiling like a pig in shit walking off the field. That makes you feel good to see someone that happpy.
They have been having trouble finding the net for a while now. That's the reason for why I picked them only to win 1-0 but man NZ scoring one is huge. If they can hold on to this one what an achievement it would be for the Kiwis!
