Bolivar did what it had to do. It can't lose its star forward for any less $ than it expects. Valladolid had a deal with Bolivar and then signed a different contract with Ferreira's representative. The difference, as I understand, was on the terms of payment; Bolivar wanted a lump sum, Valladolid wanted periodic payments. Bolivar has a right to complain since, from a financial perspective, periodic payments is money lost over a lump sum. Ferreira did get screwed over, but by his representative who had the obligation to mediate between both clubs to ensure the terms are clear and agreeable.

I hope he tries to play for us this thursday.... but I think he wont.

With that said, if he decides to say F'off to Bolivar for the next 6 months... I wonder what can happen then? Can they take him to FIFA?

I think they could take him both to FIFA and to Bolivian court system. He won't do it....hell just stay in Bolivia and make everyone miserable.

I hope they give him some 'im sorry' money to win him back..... because we need him.

Yes, he isnt crap outside of bolivia it seems so far when he has played for us in the libertadores. But it is what it is. Him leaving didnt give us enough time this transfer period to find a replacement.

I'm sure Bolivar knew the deal from the start, or they should've anyway...they wait till the minute before he gets on the plane? seriously!? thats just not cool. If they knew the deal wasn't go benefit bolivar then why wait till the last moment? I'm sure they knew for a while...plus I also think Ferreira is gonna stay in Bolivar but I highly doubt he will do his best, and I dont think he's gonna be a very "fun" person to be around...and all this makes bolivar look bad and make players think twice before they go play for Bolivar.

I think from reading stuff, Vallodolid changed their stance on payment, and bolivar didnt want that. They needed money NOW to buy a player in the transfer market after ferreira left. Without that lump sum, they said f' it we rather keep him for that 70grand.

    Ferreira got a raw deal.

For all the people always complaining about this sort of stuff happening in our futbol its strange that all of the sudden all the Bolivar fans are defending the club when all other times it's the clubs dirigentes who are at fault. hmmmm......

I don't really see it as people defending the club but rather stating facts. As far as the Bolivar fans in this forum, they are saying how what Bolivar did was f*cked up if what was reported is true. Now that other news is being reported that sheds a different light, fans are mentioning it as well.

Really though, How poor is 2nd liga team Valladolid to not want to pay a full 70 grand for a back-up forward??? thats chump change in futbol terms. funny thing i learned about mediation today and it seems like Ferreira's rep isn't too bright. horrible that Bolivar F'd him over like that.

I'm a Bolivar fan, and I'm not defeding them, in fact I was the first one to call them out:

BUT I do understand why they had to do what they did, I just don't like how they waited till the last second to do it. Also this makes Bolivar look bad and as I said before this is gonna make players think twice before signing with Bolivar.

Doesnt help how we lost at home vs. UE from Chile.

With him leaving, we are VERY short up front. Vargas isnt the guy to take over, still not 'good enough'. We need someone established, and with not having a lump sum bolivar didnt want to go through with it to buy someone from their wishilst wihtout that lump sum.

I dont blame the club, but I feel bad for Ferreira. There is obviously something not being said by either bolivar or valladolid, because the terms should have been figured out by now, and for Bolivar to pull out makes me think it is the money, and the loss last thursday doesnt help.

So the issues wiht ferreira were resolved.

Bolivar decided to sign him til' 2012 (june), and in doing so increased the amount they were getting for him on the 6mo loan from 70k to 100k (I think thats how it worked) from Valladolid. If he doesnt work out there, we got ferreira til' 2012 of June.

So it also appears we got that guy, Damian Lizio, ex river plate player, #10. Most likely will pair with Nacho in the middle..... THIS could be good with his ability to break players and set people up. He could be what we have needed, since Da Rosa is crap, and havent had a figure like him since Charles Da Silva. Its also like the loan for ferriera, a 6 month loan form the team in cyprus.

Still no forwards though..... and probably not til june.

Official notice from the Club Bolivar site on the signing of Lizio.

    http://www.clubbolivar.com/index.ph...d=518:damian-lizio-confirmado&catid=50:inicio

I think we are going to either play him as a '10' or as a supporting striker. IMO though he is a '10' right behind 2 forwards. Thats where he should play... but htey might try to shoe horn him in as a supporting striker.

They guys arrived at the sheraton in san cristobal.

Hoyos says our boys are ready mentally.

Union Espanola says they are going to play different, offensive, and come out strong at home. They want to win, probably by a big amount.

More talk on Hoyos going for the win, and issues since we dont have either of our starting forwards for the next game.

For those interested, a break down on the moneys that comes in to Bolivar, and how they are 1.7million in the hole.

Good read, also to note Abdon may be out for the game vs. Union Espanola.... not good. He was IMO our best player creating dangerous chances with his crosses and breaking of defenders on the left wing. : (

So San Jose beat Bolivar convincingly 3-2. 2 AMAZING goals from Botero.... why they didnt go after botero??? Who knows......

I think right now he'd be waaaaay better then the older ze carlos. His class is still there, with that sombrerito he did to Quinonez (i think thats how you spell it).

It was stupid for them to NOT try to get him, with Ferriera gone, they need a classic central forward to take over. Ze Carlos is like a better da rosa. He is old.... but is still sorta getting the job done... but not really.

Our front office made GREAT selections in players this off season. Frontini poops all over Nacho Itthuralde. Arguello IMO is showing signs of being the best GK in bolivia since Arias. Lorgio Alvarez reminds me of his old self. He is thinner, presses hard and tracks back with SPEED. His shots too are still dangerous and strong. His fitness seems alot better too. He might make a case for himself for the NT if Bejarano doesnt show well.

Can't forget the fast and physical edemir rodriguez aka E'rod. lol

We just needed a forward.... had we got botero... We'd be a different team right now. :(

I am hoping like all of Hoyos 'players' Damian Lizio shows great strides in helping our team in the midfield/up front too.
