Man City can aim for the UEFA Cup. But you should be happy that Sun is even playing. I think all we can ask for is that all the Chinese Abroad play. They're not good enough to be on winning teams.

Well whatever club it is, I doubt he will last long and i doubt Shenhua will get good money, J League clubs only spend big money on european players and brazilians never asians, don't know why

 

The Chen and Du situation is completely different, don't worry about it, but its unlikely that it will happen this season.

If Shenhua let Zhang Yuning go they are making a BIG mistake. Zhang is injury prone, but if he can stay injury free, he's a potential double digits scorer. Sure Shenhua got that last year from Xie, but it ain't happening again. Also, he's too old and I doubt he's going to handle the added games well. There's lots of young talent up front for Shenhua, but you can't put too much pressure on them immediately and if thats all you're relying, you're liable to be disappointed. Oh well, if they want to get rid of him, its good for everyone else.

He is pretty consistent (at least in playing time) amongst the Asian players and he always goes out and gives 100% effort. If you're talking about skills, Sun isn't anywhere near the best on City, but he never stops running and trying and so from that standpoint, he's good, and the fans love him for the effort because while he lacks the skills, his effort makes up for it in the minds of the supporters.

 

What happened to him? I thought the coach likes him?

 

Fc koshigaya tells me that he's playing for a Japanese regional league club, Kamatamare SANUKI FC. Sapporo is still in the J2. Xu either got sold or released. I'll make sure to track him down.

The Chinese media doesn't say which club. I think Zhang Yuning will soon or have already become a free agent. Under CFA rules, a player doesn't become a free agent until after three years of a club's release. But if the J-League team brings the issue to FIFA, then Zhang might be able to move on a free transfer.

Zhang Yuning is a lazy, nonchalant piece of shi+. When he feels like it, he'll play well. When he doesn't, he'll just mope around.

 

That may be the case, but when he wants to play, he's damn good. Shenhua's plan may be that their defense will be so strong with the wall of Du, Datou, and Liu Yunfei that they don't really need offense, because, looking at that lineup, I just don't know where Shenhua are going to get goals from. There is nobody who strikes me as a regular goal scoring threat. There are major questions that exist about Xie Hui and if he doesn't give you a big year, who are you going to rely on? Its a lot of pressure to place on Gao's shoulder, maybe he steps up, but if he doesn't, you got a problem.


As to Zhang, I'm really surprised by this, because he seemed to be a regular member of the MNT lineup, I figured he wouldn't have a problem with the work permit. Its too bad, but he'll get another shot.
