I just studied the Du Wei match. He wasn't directly at fault for either Clyde goal. Rod Wallace was definitely more at fault for the first one, and the goal from the corner kick was clearly not Du Wei's responsibility. The first disallowed goal was disallowed because the referee deemed the Clyde striker had fouled Du Wei. It was a foul. It certainly wasn't a legal shoulder charge, more like a hip check. I concede Du Wei is probably as soft as pudding, but the referee was correct. Overall, I see Mikael Silvestre committing all those errors for Man Utd all the time. Plus, I've seen him and other CBs get away with purposely tugging opponents down in the box. Du Wei was simply unlucky and played crappy like the rest of his team. His crappiness stood out because it was his debut and somehow ignorant Scottish pundits thought he was supposed to be this grand defensive general whom would marshal the defense and add steel to the rear.
Maybe you could post this on the Celtic website and convince the manager. Du Wei at best didn't distinguish himself so it's going to take a courageous decision from the manager to keep playing him.
Zhang Yaokun's loan deal is confirmed. Toronto Star Football.co.uk Sportinglife.com Yorkshire Post Today Sheffield United has completed their 90% purchase of Chengdu Wuniu.

He should be in okay physical shape, having participated in the national team's Spanish tour. He'll be lucky if he's on the bench this Saturday. I hope he doesn't have to go through a Du Wei-like acclimatization period.
I guess chengb02 was half right. Now we'll see if Shenhua agrees to this delay. I'll believe the Scottish press.

Dong's scoring too. Antwerp have just received an infusion of Man Utd talent in the form of Adam Eckersly (D), Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (F), Richie Jones (M), Lee Martin (M), and Danny Simpson (D). I expect goals galore.
Moyes said no place for Li Tie: http://sports.sina.com.cn/g/2006-01-13/11261990705.shtml man Li looks like a goddamn girl in that pic...
Master on the protege: http://sports.sina.com.cn/g/2006-01-13/11401990750.shtml Interesting for Dong to say that "即使是比乙,节奏和激烈程度也要比国内高多了". Who said Belgium 2nd div. is worse than CSL?
blah..blah...blah... xfactor, your defense for Du is useless because anyone with some decent knowledge in football can see he sucked. But since you're a Shenhua fan it's not surprising you made these comments. Du might be decent back in CSL (even then his positional sense has been poor). But Europe's a different animal. I don't see Du will make the Celtic team unless he drastically improves his defensive skills.

Mark Wilson is a fullback. Gary Caldwell, a Scottish NT centreback, would be a direct threat to Du Wei if Du survives.
Certain Belgium 2nd div. teams can definitely compete in the CSL. S.V. Zulte-Waregem, last season's champion, is in 6th position in the Jupiler League and only 5 points away from an European berth.
HAHA, thank you thank you...Yea, guess I might have called this one, though I don't think its going to go through, unless Celtic put up a lot of money. If Du stays in Europe, he isn't going to play very much, 5 more months at a team like Celtic would be excellent for him, even if he doesn't play. However, 5 months means he'll miss some of the CSL season and I don't think they'll want that, unless the money is large and will help them purchase a (THE) replacement, datou.
Haha, the green pastures of the CSL! As for Li Tie looking like a girl, haha, that's been the case for a long time!
