Unfortunately, Shandong will charge higher than what foreign clubs are willing to pay.

:D Indeed good ole' Qu is leading the way. Hey Steven_W what is the format of the A-league? I'm sure Qu is headed for a league medal, but I also heard something about a playoffs. Is this similar to the American sports system of regular season and playoffs? Do the winners of the league or playoffs qualify for any international tournaments?

Each team plays each other 3 times during the regular season. There's 8 teams so that makes 21 regular season games for all teams. Adelaide is first on 38..9 points ahead of sydney with 4 games left. So it ll take some kind of disaster for them not to finish first.

Then top 4 teams go into the final series. 1st plays 2nd..3rd plays 4th. winner of 1st and 2nd goes into the grand final. lose of 1st vs 2nd plays winner of 3rd vs 4th - winner of that goes into the grand final.

I assume the A-league winners would then go into the Asian Champions league, but i remember something about this not happening this season being the a-leagues first. but it ll certainly happen eventually.

I hope this is the what Strachan actually believes.

The platitudes are stupid. At least get it right and say media contracts. No one buys shirts.

Brighton gotta fvck off. Your face is not for printing.

Du Wei should have killed him.

You can't simulate a real match with reserve games.

Everybody at Celtic was playing up Du Wei's abilities. It's their own stupid fault for thinking he was some colossus.

So the Playoff Final is worth more than the League?

A-league does not count. That's like worse than CSL.

I stand correct, there is no hope in Chinese aboard players

Sun Jihai is closer to decent but other than that

Shao is in a crappy league

Dong is in a crappy league

    Hao never dresses

    Du Wei now officially sucks

    Li hardly dresses

that kid that play for Young Boys is playing for a crappy team anyways

    No hope

    nothing, it's over

should we fans give up all hope on them?

He is actually one of those extreme optimists who likes to outline the worst possible case in anticipation of someone coming along and proving him wrong. :)

But I have to agree he does do a very good job acting like a pessimist. No offence CFF. :)

This is just like Du Wei's loan without a clause for a permanent contract.

I have a feeling he'll be spending a lot of time in the reserves. :(

This would be feasible considering Sheff Utd is quite open about their China business project. Him being there would allow the organization to attract media attention and sell TV contracts.

"""""I've seen Giant pandas with quicker reflexes.""""

LOL I'd love to see those Giant pandas he's alluding to.

But it's true Du Wei is sometimes quite awkward. Not a fatal fault I think, since Fan Zhiyi was awkward too at times but that didn't stop him from being a great defender.

Sheffield doesn't need anymore "media contracts" or anything like that with China, the only reason they would bring on Zhang is if they want to play him (or think he has a shot at making the team) and once he adjusts, they might be right. I now see another reason for bringing Hao to Sheffield, he's been there awhile and now they can start picking off top Chinese players and have someone on the ground who can help them with the adjustment.

There is no hope for Du and I'd be shocked to see Celtic do anything but wave him goodbye. It is unfair to do this based on only one game, but look at Xu Liang, he scored in the game and they didn't pick him up. There are a million and one excuses, but at the end of the day, Du played absolutely terrible and showed he's not ready to play at that level.

I'm in agreeance with CFF, there's really no hope for Chinese in Europe. We haven't really seen anything about what Shi Jun is doing in awhile, is he doing anything of note? Dong and Shao are in crap leagues, Li and Hao never play, and the best thing you can say about Sun is that he's getting some playing time now.

Man City just beat some crap team 3-1 and Sun had an assist.

Those crap leagues still offer hard competition. The Chinese in Europe should be grateful if they're getting minutes.

Sun Jihai, Shao Jiayi, and Dong Fangzhuo are starters.
    Shi Jun is a substitute.
Li Tie and Hao Haidong don't play.

The standard of the EPL, 2.Bundesliga, Swiss League are probably superior or equal to that of the CSL. Certain teams in the Belgian Second Division (not Antwerp) could compete competently in the CSL.
