Yep, comeback of the 80ies is big at this time. But it depends who you're asking. E.g. Everyone living between Berlin and Vladivostok will probably say THEY were the biggest act in the 80ies
Something I have not listened to in decades, but happened across it today as I avoid working. I probably bought this album in 1980 or 1981 and probably have not listened to it since the 90's. -The Mekons (their first releases) -Human League (actually good, well, odd, if not good) -Gang of Four (still one of the best bands ever. Sadly, Andy Gill passed in February, perhaps, as suggested by his wife, as one of the first European COVID victims. Toured China in November, 2019 and died of pneumonia and organ failure February 1, 2020) Plus a couple of barely known Scottish bands -The Flowers -Scars -and the virtually unknown 2.3 (they are actually still playing and still unknown over 40 years later).
