it would be nice to see Bolivar win it all .
I'm kinda tired to see Brasilians Argentinians win all the time. this Bolivian team actually look like they are not afraid of anyone and are going balls out.
    hope they take it all.

Bolivar aguanto y se llevo la victoria 2-1. Remonto el marcador y se va para la argentina a buscar el empate o el triunfo por los penaltis

    Bolivar v San Lorenzo [R]

    Bolivar 2 San Lorenzo 1

Good game. Bolivar came out strong but could not score. San Lorenzo composed themselves and scored before the half. Romignoli is still a great player. Ligori the defenseman for Bolivar is TERRIBLE in my opinion. If they want to advance any further they better find someone to replace him. Other than that, Bolivar was solid with Botero and Colque running the show.
BTW....The Bolivian people were gracious and well behaved.

yes, bolivar won 2-1, but in a way it seems like a loss. i think everyone expected a result like the first leg of the bolivar-gimnasia series.

the own goal is huge for san lorenzo, who is much better than gimnasia. who knows how the whole altitude psychological factor works, but san lorenzo was putting together a nice match. they did not make the same easy mistakes that gimnasia committed.

i think bolivar wanted to duplicate the gimnasia performance as they settled for long range blasts of which only a handful were on target. galindo was lost in the match. and again ribeiro played well, but was contained some of the time. ferreira played awful.

san lorenzo can play futbol and that is what scares me for the return leg.

i think this technically belongs in the conmebol forum, since it is not about national teams.

I don't know who thought San lorenzo was as bad as Gimnasia. But then again a lot of Bolivians, specially paceños are like that.

I've always had San Lorenzo as the favorite to win it all. The rest of the teams are at the same level. If Bolivar manages something spectacular then they're the candidate to win it all.

 if you look at the rest of the threads on this forum, they're all about club teams.

    ARGH!

I responded to this post yesturday, but something happend and BIGSOCCER closed out. I was pissed because my post was prety long.

I think all I wanted to state was that Bolivar did not play to well. We scored against our selves and hit the pole I think twice.

The post I made before was far more substantial.

will s.l. fans fill up the stadium?

the one goal s.l. scored in la paz could play big in the final result. the key is for boliviar to do what they did in the 2nd half in la plata, attack and not just sit back and hope for a tie.

    ligori sucks

congratulations to san lorenzo, they really have top flight players and took full advantage of bolivar's (ligori's) mistakes. the age of the defense, i think average age of 31 was really exposed as colque and ribeiro spent a lot of time attacking and did not get back on defense.

sometimes i think botero is really good and other times i think his first touch is just horrid and one would think a player with 40 goals should finish off some of those chances. his header was a world-class finish in my opinion. i wonder if he will make the jump to argentine futbol next year. i would also like to see gatti move on and see what he can do.

what a great ride, bolivar...now it's time to root against you on friday against wilstermann,

I have never understood why Ligori is in this year's Bolivar. He was OK in Guabira and but he's not good enough for a team with the payroll that Bolivar has now.
