Seriously Iraq was dictating the game even before the red card. I'm happy that Iranian players are finally punished for their aggressive and violent style of play, they managed to get away with it every time when playing against their neighbours in the gulf, but now they get what they deserve.
I think he is unwilling to test out new players than simply just Muto and Shibasaki, especially for the CF and CBs' position. Replacement for Endo and Konno, etc. should be playing or featuring in an arena like the AFC to have more options for the WC, but he still sticked to the same regular players which everyone knows would not be able to play in 2018.
We were leading 1-0 and the ref saw he had to do something to stop us, so he sent off our defender, look at the first yellow card, when the Iraqi player starts grassrolling for no reason, then the red when the Iraqi goalkeeper pushes him. Well, what do you expect? Carlos and co have spent 4 years building up this team, and it took a single man's stupidity to spoil it.
Don't act as if Pooladi didn't flop , I think we Iranians need to stop blaming the refs and other players doping and we should focus on bash our shitty federation for not doing anything to help the coach or team. These guys didn't have a decent friendly , staid at shitty camps and hotels and all we do is bash everyone except the IFF and the stupid thieves that keep ruining our football.
Admittedly, Pouladi did overreact. But that's a warning and at worst a yellow card, look at the first booking as well, Pouladi literally had no contact with the Iraqi grassroller, yes, I agree, we had poor preparation, but it's Iraq for gods sake -.- When blame is due it is given. This guy messed up a ton of games, look at Uzbekistan vs Saudi Arabia, Bahrain vs Iran, Malaysia vs China, etc... His problem is he can't take criticism, so he had already made up his mind who would win before the players got on the pitch.
My post was a joke of course, one could discuss who's better between Aguirre or Zaccheroni but in the end it's what you do with the NT that matters, and it's more how well the coach can adapt to the country. Stielike is a relatively unknown coach yet he's there with SK in the final with 0 goals taken, etc. As it was said and the JFA said too, the Asian Cup was an important competition, so the "best" players were selected. From now one what you're hoping should hopefully happen.
New players with potential in the J-league along with young players overseas that has never been called like Minamino should be given a try, especially in the CBs, CFs and DM position. I suggest not calling regulars like Honda, Kagawa and Endo etc. for next few friendlies and test others.
The JNT should really learn from this game imo, if they have the physical strength of these two teams, they might have better results than they are now.
