AFC Champions League starts Feb 10 As many of you know, the second AFC CL will start tommorow. AFC Champions League returns from FootballASIA.com Also check out the official web site, http://www.afcchampionsleague.com/ I though, there should be thread about it. I think clubs from Korea, China, and Japan will dominate the League. To bad that only one club from each table qualify to the next round. Clubs from Japan are: YOKOHAMA F Marinos: 2003 J. League Champ Jubilo IWATA: 2002 J. Leauge Champ
Sepahan Kills Naftchi! Sepahan the iranian champions CRUSHED Naftchi the champions of Uzbekistan 4-0. Watch out for Sepahan and Zob Ahan is even stronger! Yes I have a feeling an Iranian club is gonna win the championsleague i just wished it was Esteghlal but as long as it's not Perspolis im happy! Go Sepahan Go Zob ahan GO IRAN
Yeah they might well be the main competition in the group. But we'll see what they're made of against Ittihad.
Sepahan is still awsome but they were way better last year... Yea hijazzy i bet Ittihad is better than naftchi. To be honest i didn't expect Sepahan to win with such big margine they are not the same team they were last year. Currently they are standing 9th in the IPL! Last year they were awsome. Oh and mods I think you should make this thread's title to read the offcial AFC champions league thread and put an [R] in it since iv already posted a result! I dunno up to you ROAR THE TIGER HAS SPOKEN!
Binh Dinh(Vietnam)0-3YOKOHAMA.F.M(JAPAN) Eight players(Tatsuhiko KUBO,Daisuke SAKATA,Daisuke OKU,Hayuma TANAKA,Yuji NAKAZAWA,Daisuke NASU ,AHN Jung Hwan, YOO Sang Chul) of YokohamaFM were absent in this match for preparation of the national team and the Olympic Games team. Chonbuk(KOREA)1-2Jubilo IWATA(JAPAN) In this match, five players(GRAL,NAKAYAMA ,FUJITA,FUKUNISHI,GAVIAO)of IWATA were absent because of an injury, NT, and U-23. And all the players that participated were Japanese.
the point for us to participate in this garbage tourney is like i said before to prepare for the real season to come. it is also a good opportunity to field players who will have no playing time once the real competition, j-league, starts. minnows from the rest of asian leagues such as k, saudi, jia, ipl are good oppornents to have warm up for the j teams.
Who's Next? Fixed. Zobahan Beat last year's semi finalists pakhtakour of uzbekistan last night. Uzbekistan is now officially Iran's new bitch. First we beat their national team 4-0 and then our olympic team beat them 9-1! and now sepahan beats their champions 4-0 and zobahan beats their current leaders. This just shows how fixed was last year's tourney pas beat last year's runner ups TEC of thailand at their own home and zob beat the semi finalists. Be ware a persian team is gonna bring the cup back to where it belongs IRAN. After that we are gonna qualify for WC2006 and win the AsianCup one more time yes The Iran Era will be back one more time.
U want to know about the great Persian league eh? I hope this helps www.persianleague.com should answer ur questions keep in mind that IPL used to be called Azadegan league just about 2-3 years ago and b4 that it was called jame e takhteh jamshid (Takhteh Jamishid Cup) back when Shah ruled. In Azadegan the time of the matches didn't fit Fifa's schedules and the numbers on the shirts were in Farsi rather than English so after these changes Azadegan became IPL! The teams are still the same though. There is also division1, 2 and 3.
Re: U want to know about the great Persian league eh? I hope this helps Go to http://www.persianleague.com/teams/ For pictures of the current teams, classics, teams logos and current line-ups. Here are the 2 persian giants.
Our league just recently turned professional. This is the 3rd year of the IPL. Currently, there are 14 teams that play in the Premiere Leauge, and the IFF is considering about making it 16 teams next season.

Ittihad dominated agains Arabi, and exceled in wasting chance after chance, if they keep this up, they may pay the price against teams stronger than Arabic. What ever happend to Hassan Al-Yami? Ittihad needed his finishing touch in that game.
Yeah it was a frustrating game to watch. Show boating and overplaying the game with such overconfidence and casualness, you'd think they were 5 or 6 nil ahead! The two goals were actually more difficult than some of the misses! But I'm still confident that when things get tougher they'll play with more seriousness. I feel sorry though for newboy Saeed Wad3ani. The poor guy was given the chance to open his account by Noor in that 3-on-1 with the keeper and he shot it straight at Falah Dabsha. Anyway I don't expect the next game to be easy. Neftchi away may sound easy, but these teams are a different proposition when they play at home. We better take them seriously. There's a mistake in my table: In group C, I wrote that the team that pulled out is Riffa. It should be the other Bahraini team, Ahli.
FIFA anouced the format for FIFA World Club Championship Format established for FIFA Club World Championship 2005 <Fifa.com> Japan tipped to host 2005 World Club Championship<FootballAsia.com> Only the champs from each confederation will qualify to the FIFA WCC. Doesn't that make ACL little more important. I am sure that, as this competition improves more clubs will be eligible to attend the tournament. Also it's going replace the TOYOTA Cup in Japan.
Sepahan should have won that game but the next two games are the deciders for his group: April 7th Sepahan vs. Al Ittehad April 20th Al Ittehad vs. Sepahan
Yea sepahan should have definetly won that. They deserved to win as they dominated the match and the ref didn't get a 100% penalty for them again why do they choose arab refs when 1 side is arab? ahh well a 2-2 draw away is not a bad result.
