Official Adu Sighting Thread

    During tonight's Laker-Chicago basketball game broadcast on Fox Sports here in LA, they interviewed the Phenom. The sideline reporter (Craig?) mentioned that Young 14-year old Adu was just signed by MLS and will be playing for DC United next year. They mentioned that he was in town for MLS Cup on Sunday. It was a quick interview but I thought it was interesting to see any soccer player being interviewed during an NBA game. Is that a first? The publicity this kid is bringing to the league is incredible. I am sure AEG was instrumental in getting Freddy into Staples Center.

    Young Freddy said he was cheering for the Lakers. Smart kid.

    A friend of mine saw him in May in Gulf Breeze. Does that count?

    If not a first, it's pretty close. The other leagues and networks typically ignore soccer, both MLS and the world game, and pretend it doesn't exist.

    hey elaine, I think you might be the only person on this board who could ask him out and not be arrested for it. I think you know your duty if you ever see him in person :)

    Just caught Freddy on The Best Damn Sports Show Period.
    Showed Freddy taking pk's with some of the cast in goal(Freddy was perfect from the spot).
