You know, at the beginning of the season, when the TV schedule came out, I was bummed that neither this game nor Wednesday night's game in Colorado would be televised. Now, it appears to have been good planning on the part of the front office. On the other hand, this'll probably ensure that this'll be the game where Ruiz-illa goes on a golazo rampage as FC Dallas racks up a famous victory. But hey, at least we've got radio. 910 AM in English, 1440 AM in Spanish.
I've just sent away for my Ray Cannevari Fan Club membership. Much like the Inferno, you get a free t-shirt when you join. After I'm done feeding it to a pack of wild dogs, burning the remains and pissing on the ashes, should I simply throw the mess away or should I put into a FedEx box and mail it back to Ray? Thoughts?
Sure he's a goober....but do you really dislike him that much? I'll admit he's not "good." But is he really, really awful? I'd say no. I'm not too critical of him 'cause I'm pretty much just happy to get a live description of the games that are not broadcast on tv.
I still wish this game was on TV - if only to make myself suffer more. The last 3 games: 3 losses. no goals. 6 goals against. (all competitions) 1-0 the 2-0 Then 3-0 Things are getting worse. Kansas City is either going to just what the doctor ordered or it will be Dr Jekyll.
Um, Rovers, Dr. Jekyll was the nice one... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Strange_Case_of_Dr_Jekyll_and_Mr_Hyde
Ray's a lot better with the PR guy helping him out. Not that I'm looking forward to listening to 910's weak signal at night. Or waking up the next morning and getting a steaming pile of Radio Berkeley to start off the day. But hey, anything's better than reading MLS' awful match tracker.
I like Ray, he's a nice guy. 4-nil were gonna lose 4-nil were gonna lose 4-nil At least when EJ brakes out of his slump and drops a hat trick on us we won't have to watch night.
Why can a minor league side like The Battery have video feed and a Major League team only have radio ? There is a revenue stream missed ....
I thought he was GREAT in the USOC game (I refuse to refer to that OTHER team by name, hatred is running high)!! He was great because he literally lulled me to sleep so I completely missed the second half thrashing, but was only bored to tears in the first. And crying for the Modern Male is OK, right? So, he's GREATNESS.
I know. But I had the doctor thing working and I couldn't think of another appropriate evil doctor. Even so, Dr Jekyll is Mr. Hyde- so the Wiz may oblige in a Jekyllian first half before handing us our ass in a Hyde hat in the second half as EJ exacts his revenge and Josh Wolff quits acting like...well...Josh Wolff. Our defense has the ability to find the banana peel in the haystack.
This is a Sportscenter update...... Bo "Stuart Scott" Oshoniyi still sucks. More details coming up. 3-1 Hoops.
By the way guys, re: tv coverage. After talking to Hitch for about 30 minutes on Wednesday night, I know that this is the kind of guy that's going to do everything he can to get these games on tv. If they're not on the schedule, it's not because of him.
http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/news/mls_news.jsp?ymd=20060825&content_id=70385&vkey=news_mls&fext=.jsp That article makes me nervous. Potentially no Ronnie and Shaka in goal? Shit.
Dallas is in the place where no matter who runs out there need to produce. We did quite well last time ROB was out; I think it's all a mental thing. Shaka should have the chance to shake the rust off; I'm less worried about him starting than the team's overall mental focus. If Dallas can actually go out and get a lead, no matter who is the 'keeper should make all the difference in the world.
