They can't fathom that we display the month and day rather than the day and month, as if there could only be one objectively correct way to write things in shorthand.
Actually, it looks like the person juggling the ball has some sort of brace above his knee. I have never seen anything like it, but what do I know. So my guess its a date for Riqui coming back to Southern California to rehab with the club. I would think that if it was someone that was close to signing they would show the hanging jersey again.
We got a half season of an int'l slot, which probably means we expect Nasci to go in the summer We have acquired a 2026 International Roster Slot from San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for $225,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money (GAM).📰: https://t.co/kTWa57Ivks pic.twitter.com/mHcILxTzRU— LA Galaxy (@LAGalaxy) February 6, 2026
Does this mean we get to keep half the money as well when we give back the international spot? Sheesh. Seems like quite the steep price for only a half season rental. Prices increased for the international spots from year's past. So I guess this means Nasci is definitely not staying beyond this summer? Any other players who might be eligible or in the process for a green card? Did Kuntz budget for all the extra international spots needed to fully comply?
Looks like we got a firm roster for now with numbers, although a few will be sent to VCFC or elsewhere https://www.instagram.com/p/DUb_6Sbj304/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
Why does Riqui have a roster spot? Isn’t he on season-ending? And for that matter, does his lack of availability impact our international spot situation? (Sorry, @Benny Dargle , not intended as a rant at you, just saw Riqui’s pic as #10)

We could be getting a percentage of the transfer fee as part of our sell-on clause for Perez 🇲🇽 Nashville SC head coach BJ Callaghan says Jonny Pérez didn't play today ahead of a potential transfer to Liga MX powerhouse Chivas. "We held Jonny out of the game. There's a transfer opportunity here. He's still here in camp. He's still part of the team."📸 @_mikemeredith pic.twitter.com/GEXVfGcHCp— Ben Wright (@benwright) February 7, 2026
🇲🇽 Chivas in talks to sign winger Jonny Perez from Nashville SC.Nashville manager BJ Callaghan confirmed talks today. Chivas made an offer, talks proceeding but not there yet. Liga MX window closes Monday night.🤝 @CLMerlo pic.twitter.com/f0EkPIF4vY— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) February 7, 2026
🚨🐐 CONFIRMADO. Do sell on clauses extend to loan fees? Not sure we will be getting anything until he sells.
Was told last week that it wasn’t official official, but it looks like Gino Vivi is on loan or heading out on loan to Tampa Bay Rowdies. He’s in the player walk-up in this video #LAGalaxy https://t.co/vPtgZGNENK— Damian Calhoun (@DamianCalhoun) February 8, 2026 Apparently Gino Vivi didn't get his green card.
Halftime. Loosing 0-2. Defense doesn't look that good. Marco is a captain. Pec and Paintsill had moments, went wide. Hopefully will be better in second half.
First loss. 2-3. Both goals by Pec, assists Klauss and Reus. Better second half. Chicago did change the whole team at 60 minute mark daugh, we only made 2 changes so gad to deal with fresh legs of Chicago at the end of the game.
After watching the game vs CHI my preferred lineup would be: —————Micovic Cuevas— Garces—Glesnes—-Nelson ———————Haak ———-Thommy———Reus -Pec———————————Paintsil ———————-Klauss Bring in fresh Wynder for Reus at minute 70 or so. Can use Aude instead of Nelson but I still think former is a better defender (and improving D should be our priority) and isn’t that different going forward. I think Thommy and Reus might be able to play off each other and help our combination play overall. (Our chemistry in midfield vs CHI was shite!) I tried to create a 3-cb lineup but after you add 2 wingbacks & a DM it leaves us with only room for Reus to be our entire central midfield. He doesn’t have the work rate or athleticism to do that adequately: —————Micovic — Garces—Glesnes—-Yoshida Cuevas—-—Haak———Nelson/Aude -Pec————Reus————Paintsil —————-Klauss Maybe the above could work if Pec & Paintsil squeeze to the middle and help Reus control center midfield and leave the wide channels to the wingbacks.
I tend to think this is where we are missing Fagundez right now, although perhaps Thommy or one of the young CMs can fill that role in a 3 CB formation.
Agree about Fagundez. But as I said in my post above I found it almost impossible to get Reus any midfield help (like Thommy) with a 3 CB formation. Once you go to 3 backs your whole lineup is almost dictated: 1 gk 3 cb 2 wingbacks 1 DM 2 Ps 1 Reus 1 CF ———— 11 players Maybe Thommy could learn to be a wingback on the fly!
It's not a loan. Perez to Chivas on a permanent transfer with a 4 year contract. Not sure about the transfer fee or our % 🚨[CONFIRMADO] Jonathan Pérez es nuevo refuerzo de Chivas. Sources: Nashville will receive a club-record fee north of $3 million in the transfer of Jonny Perez to Chivas. https://t.co/0FTI9dXwJq— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) February 9, 2026 Here is the transfer fee, but our percentage remains unknown.
Really remarkable the market now in Mexican football for Mexican American MLS players. I guess it makes sense to see Chivas mining this pool given their self imposed limitations on who can play on their team. But here is a guy that couldn't get regular minutes for the Galaxy and barely got any regular minutes for Nashville, and he's sold for over $3m. We've seen Aguire and Efra make impacts in Mexico after leaving Galaxy as well. What could Cuevas be worth if he plays regular minutes this year? What about Ramos Jr. ?
