As I said last week Stella are actually playing pretty solid football at the moment and this solid football got them a pretty comfortable win away at Niigata today. Their pressing and counter-pressing was exceptional, especially in the first-half. They constantly put Niigata's defence and mifield under pressure, which meant Niigata could not play with any rhythm untill the second-half. I have been quite critical of Stella's Juri Itoh, because in the past she has been prone to mental lapses, which have cost Stella. But she is having a very good season and has reduced those mental lapses. She has always been really skillful, so hopefully she continues to develop. The way Stella are finishing this season do I dare to dream a possible top 6 finish next season? No that is just crazy talk.

I have only just realised that I have actually been to Tokamachi where this team is based. It is a part of an International Arts Festival that is held every three years called the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale.
