What do you mean "45+"? When the official goal time was 45, you get 200 and when it was 42, 43, 44, 46, 47, 48, you get 50.
Deserved victory for Australia. I must add I didn't like some of the fouls China commited, pretty reckless and dangerous stuff.
And when they did create chances they made some very poor choices in front of goal. Having said that though, they look much better, because they have been poor for a while now. Australia looked quite good at times, but when you give them a lot of space to run into they tend to look good. I cannot imagine South Korea or Nadeshiko will press them quite so high. South Korea made Australia's defence look pretty poor at times. Let us hope Nadeshiko can have a win tomorrow.
Yokoyama Ema was not, maybe because she has not played much in Albi recently. While LFBs are three (Kingetsu, Sato Mone, Suzuki Haruko), I can't see decent RFB in this team, maybe Aoki will be the first choice. CBs are Ohta and Aso? Or Honda Momoka? MFs and FWs are a lot. Possibly too many?
Tomorrow....JPN v KOR Been selling this game to folks around here as a not to miss potential classic game of footie...hope I don't end up with egg on my face..we'll see Mind you it would be a change...the egg usually ends up down the front of my shirt
I guess he means: what if the goal is scored at 48', but there were, let's say, 4 minutes of additional time in the 1st Half? Officialy the goal was scored within 3 minutes of his prediction (45'), but there were more minutes of actual play (4 minutes of additional time + 3 minutes of the 2nd Half = 7 minutes). I guess he wants to know how you will count the minutes there.
You mean that no matter how many actual playing time is in the first half, the second half starts at '45. If so, in case the additional time was more than 3 minutes, I ignore the second half.
So, if I get it right, if one predicts 45', he gets 200 pts if the goal is scored at exactly 45', he gets 50 pts if it's scored at 45'+1', 45'+2' or 45'+3', he gets nothing if it's scored at 46' but there were 3 or more minutes of additional time. Is it correct?
Yes it is. I'm sorry, this erratic state was caused by that I didn't notice that two different 45' exist. So if someone predict more than 47', I have to ignore the first half additional time this time. This is apparantly a contradiction, but I have no choice. Forgive me.
From Angel City FC twitter: Hina Sugita suffered a left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury and has been placed on the season-ending injury (SEI) list. I think it happend on training ground couple days before the season start.
Well, I thought about the match tonight and I am going to make an effort and watch the game from the second half
Nils Nielsen, Head Coach I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's match against South Korea. South Korea is a tactically attractive team, and I think it will be a challenging match with a different kind of difficulty compared to the previous four games. However, we have to win decisively in order to advance to the next stage and seize the chance to lift the trophy. South Korea's strength lies in its speedy attacks, so it's important not to let them utilize that strength, and on top of that, I think it's crucial how we attack and take the initiative. In defense, we want to be thorough in moving as a team with discipline, not losing in one-on-one situations, and not losing the ball in midfield. I want to stay calm and respond to whatever happens during the match, and go for the win. 19 MF Momoko Tanikawa I'm really looking forward to the match against Korea, and the whole team is well-prepared for tomorrow's game. Unlike the previous four matches, I think there will be more one-on-one situations tomorrow, so I feel it will be important for each of us to win those challenges for the ball. As a team, we want to focus on building momentum and creating our own flow from the start of the match. Personally, I think every goal can greatly influence the outcome, so I want to score important goals. I've learned a lot from the coach, not only tactically but also mentally, and that's been very helpful. I want to win decisively, with joy and pride in being able to compete on a big stage, and carry that momentum into the next round. 10 MF Nagano Fuka I feel that South Korea is a team that has undergone a generational shift and has a clear understanding of what they need to do. They have speed and drive to move forward, and I think they will come at us with momentum, so I think it will be a different kind of difficult match than the previous four games. Up until now, when the opponent was sitting back and defending, I was conscious of receiving the ball freely and making sure to pass it forward or wide, but in the next match, I think it will be more important to control the entire game and manage risks when attacking. They are an opponent where even a momentary delay in decision-making can lead to a dangerous situation, so I want to maintain my concentration throughout the 90 minutes and continue to make good decisions. We are all working on analyzing South Korea, and we have been able to confirm it on the pitch, so I want to enter the match with confidence. 5 DF Hana Takahashi With important matches coming up in just two days, I've been prioritizing recovery, including my time off. I think the intensity of our defense will increase even further in the upcoming matches, and South Korea is a team with strong mental fortitude, fierceness in tackles, and individual strength, so I don't think it will be an easy match. However, personally, I really enjoy one-on-one battles against such opponents, and I'm looking forward to that kind of challenge this time as well. We've also been working hard on set pieces in practice, so I want to approach the match with confidence. I feel that the atmosphere of the venue will be a big factor influencing the flow of the game. Even if the opposing team has a lot of supporters, I want to stay calm, communicate well with each other, and I myself want to support the team by shouting loudly. 7 MF Hinata Miyazawa In the group stage, there were many matches where the opponents sat back and defended, and there weren't many intense transitions, so I didn't feel like my physical strength was significantly depleted. I feel encouraged that we're able to fully demonstrate the strength of Nadeshiko Japan, where everyone on the team can play equally well no matter who's on the field. Even against opponents who don't give us space, the relationships between players and the ways we break them down are improving, and we have a shared understanding that if we hold onto the ball without rushing, there will always be times when space opens up, and our variations are increasing. From here on, the matches will be even more difficult, but we want to fight together as a team, win the championship, and carry that momentum into next year's FIFA Women's World Cup.
As I had said, today I'll be at work during the match (should be home for a lunch-break just a few minutes after the end of the match), so I'll just have to hope everything goes well. Ganbare Nadehiko Japan and follow the game for me, guys.
