I was wondering when you were going to realize that nailing the exact score would have given you more points.
The crowd screaming "Vietnam" in these last minutes of additional time on a hopeless 0-4 score anyway deserves a gracious bow!
AFC Womens Asian Cup F.T...JPN 4-0 VIE Comfortable win...special mention for VIE goalkeeper who stopped another big score win for JPN..she had a stormer imo
Une's game is super exciting, I'm not used to rooting for the team alongside with tracking my own predictions! Total chaos!

Interesting that correctly predicting no-braces and no-hat-tricks, at this round, was giving you way more points than guessing two scorers right out of three. I suppose the game vs India tipped the scales a little, here.
From Wikipedia: "Prior to the 2004 redevelopment, the venue was oval-shaped and, when Perth Glory entered the National Soccer League (NSL) in 1996, temporary stands were moved on to the pitch to get supporters closer to the action. After playing in these conditions for four years, it became apparent that the Glory would need their own rectangular stadium and, after Glory's proposed redevelopment of Leederville Oval was rejected, the Town of Vincent completely overhauled the ground into a rectangular stadium.". It looks like the stadium was originally oval because that's the kind of field you use for "Austrialian rules football". In fact, if you go on the stadium's website, they proudly define it "Perth’s only rectangular stadium"! Australia is sure a strange place, noy only because of kangaroos and koalas.
Actually I did post about her transfer and you already answered 2 months ago I have only seen highlights, although as you said a bit slow but she looks alright. Her team is fighting for relegation. 7 games to go, still 6 points behind the safe zone, it will be tough.

14.3.26 CHN v TPE I think it would be short sighted for AFC to allocate JPN officials to this match even though it shouldn't really matter
seems i haven't been this grateful for Japan in quite a long time hahaha! i was getting nervous when HT was at 1-0 only, afraid that Vietnam would do the same thing we did versus Australia. but YATTAAAA our World Cup dreams are still alive arigato Nadeshiko! that score vs Australia was really key i'm happy now but i'm not sure if i can stay the same for when we meet them next Sunday, oh boy. still, it's tickets to more chances for a return trip to the World Cup and also tickets to AFC Olympic Qualifying!
Match # 3 Mish Mash of Observations Since I was not able to watch this game in real time and having found out about the final score line before I watched the match I was initially a bit surprised Japan only being able to score 4 goals but when I watched the replay of the entire match the key contributing factors for only the "paltry 4 goals scored by Nadeshiko against Vietnam ... the Vietnam Goal Keeper # 20 was playing on top of her head in this match just pure goal keeping class to keep the score from easily being 7 maybe 8 goals for Japan. This goal keeper definitely should be playing overseas in a top flight league ...the compact defending of the Vietnamese Woman's Team ... #13 LT Diem played a pivotal role on Vietnam defense and again someone who deserves to be scouted for much more greener pastures. ...perhaps the Nadeshiko could of made some more sweeping high shots into the penalty box area Another Elephant in the Room Saki Kumagai in her prime was a world class player with experence oozing out of her pores but I was watching Match # 2 where she made an errant pass or two under pressure and I believe this has been her achilles in the last few years. Against really good teams this will be capitalized upon and could be problematic for someone in her role as a key defender whereas against weaker teams this may not be as glaring. I think I understand the Japanese culture of respect for seniority and transition from old to new in general but I fear this could come at the cost of innovation and moving forward with Nadeshiko Japan. Its nice to have her wisdon and experience but I think the Japanese Womens National Team is at the point where there are many Nadeshiko Women playing in the top leagues of the world who have been steadily gaining experience and wisdom of the likes Domestic Japanese Women's Football has not seen before. At one time only very few Japanese Women played overseas but that narrative has shifted significantly since Nadeshiko Japan last lifted the FIFA Womens World Cup Trophy fortunately as international scouts can finally appreciate the very high level of technical skiils that the Japanese Football system integrates into each and everyone of their players from a very young age. Saki Kumagai much like Sawa, Nagasato, Kawasumi and others we owe a heavy debt of gratitude as they were the pioneers but I would like them all to age gracefully and with respect and not because of a blunder on the pitch especially in an important match or FIFA knock out stage.
