9' South Africa scores from corner against the run of play.
Defense lost marking on Linda Molthalo

Japan now needs to score at least 6 goals in order for not lose FIFA ranking points

12' Seike miss a sitter from 6m box

26' good longshot from Japan parried by Swart
27' Moriya nasty foul on RSA player, shes lucky for not to get yellow
34' good combination play upfront, Momiki backheel to Matsukubo whose shot hits the post
38' another good connection between Matsukubo and Momiki, the latter slip during the shot that goes wide
42' good pressing upfront by Matsukubo and Momiki, ball goes to Seike in the center of pk box... and she misses another good opportunity

    HT JPN 0 - 1 RSA

Nadeshiko are lucky that coach Elis has ordered her team to defend the result otherwise I feel Thembi Kgatlana could score another if she would attack Kumagai and Takeshige on racing match.
Endo, Chiba and Hayashi looked bad in this very disjointed starting XI. Seike also had bad day as she wasted 3 or 4 good chances.

51' good deep centre from FK by Momiki, Swart parries and collides with Kumagai, foul
56' Momiki longshot goes just over the bar, Momiki OUT, Fujino IN
60' RSA player interception on Kumagai quick pass to Kgatlana and Nadeshiko are lucky she was offside as she would've been 1v1 against Hirao
    62' yellow card for Mbane
64' another close call for Kumagai... with VAR she could've conceded PK for a foul in PK box.
67' Swart pulled the muscle, helped by the medics, water-break for all

Seike and Hayashi need to be replaced

71' goal line save by RSA defender after Japan corner, Fujino shot, Koga redirected the ball slighty
75' Seike's late to Shimizu pass into the pk box. Swart parries the ball
    79' 2nd and 3rd sub for RSA
80' Hayashi center from CK, Kumagai' good header parried by Swart

84' nice acrobatics by Swart saves her team from conceding the corner
85' yellow card for Hasegawa for foul on Swart.
    (73') Minami IN, Moriya OUT
89' Miyazawa shot hits the bar
    6 mins added time

after first match Japan gained ~0,1 FIFA ranking points, they stand to lose 12,44 points today

95' two consecutive actions finished with centers into pk box with Koga as the target yield no result
96' no joy from last corner of the game either
99' yellow for RSA player unsporting play, last FK and center to pk box unsucessfull as well.

    FT JPN 0 - 1 RSA
    Molthalo 9'

congrats RSA, they had some luck but ultimately stick to their guns and managed to get the result.

If JFA sticks to the usual, today was a training match and not an official friendly, so the result wouldn't affect the points.

Perhaps... but so far it's listed on FIFA live ranking points page.

In that case, yeah, that's some stupid points to lose.

Well... on the other hand its not that bad as Japan curently have safe margin with 1998 points. I guess 1960 and above should be enough in order to stay in pot 1 for WWC draw.

Well, maybe lack of available stream was fortunate after all. Looks like frustrating game to watch by Nadeshiko fan.

    Yes, in fact very frustrating:D
Too many new members. I know Kano tried to see what they can, but I somewhat felt sorry for Matsukubo.
