Alas, a humiliating defeat in the final. Even though the title is not particularly significant, winning it would have been the cherry on top of a quite successful AFC season for the national teams. The singing of the brainwashed following of DPR Korea did not take long to become quite annoying. How wonderful it would have been if Little Nadeshiko had silenced those drones. Maybe next time.
Yu Endo and Riko Ueki played whole match for Westham vs ManCity of Yui Hasegawa (whole match ) and Aoba Fujino (62 mins and assist).
Moeka Minami played entire match, Kiko Seike - 82 mins for Brighton against Tottenham of Toko Koga (entire match and fantastic goal) and Maika Hamano who played first half of the contest.
Hikaru Kitagawa played entire match, Honoka Hayashi and Yuka Momiki - 78 mins for Everton against Leicester.
Four Japanese players' ManCity won Women's Super League and all Nadeshiko's teams managed to stay in English top tier for next season.
Uno Shiragaki and Shinomi Koyama (assist) played whole game, Manaka Matsukubo (goal and assist) - 90 mins for NC against Chicago of Manaka Hayashi who played whole game.
Narumi Miura and Mina Tanaka (scored winning goal) played whole game for Utah against Louisville. Utah is second in the NWSL with 6 wins and 1 tie in their last 7 matches.
Momoko Tanikawa is German Champion, Remina Chiba (Frankfurt) is bronze medalist with UWCL qualification. Unfortunately, the latter is playing only dying minutes of the matches for her club.

Hello all. I was fortunate to have a trip to Japan to meet with suppliers. I did not realize how my travels crossed with the Nadeshiko! I was enjoying a late afternoon Tappanaki in the upper floor of the hotel in Kobe. Then I noticed the practice fields below that looked strangely familiar. I took a picture and zoomed in to see that was the Kobe INAC facility! The waitress confirmed! Then I did a morning walk the next day to get a few more pictures. On a different night the supplier took me to an exquisite dinner near the Urawa station!! All were a most pleasant surprise! I do follow the Nadeshiko still. It is most interesting with so many players playing well overseas! Thanks so very much to you all for keeping the passion!!
Yukari KINGA has been appointed as a staff member as coach of the Nadeshiko team. https://www.jfa.jp/nadeshikojapan/news/00036342/
@TabascoT! Thanks for sharing your story and your pics! I like when an old-timer from the good times of the previous era of this thread stops by to say "hi": I don't want to say that it's like meeting one of the veteran-players from 2011's Nadeshiko squad, but it's anyway in the same spirit!
My game (2) Melbourne City vs Beleza 1 exact score (100 pts, half hit 50pts, if you predict tie score in the regular time, you can entry the extra time score 100pts regardless of whethe your regular time score is true or not) 2 Beleza first scorer (100pts) 3 Beleza scorers (3, 20pts, perfect 3, +100pts, nobody, 100pts) 4 at least two goals Beleza scorer (1, 100pts, nobody,10pts) 5 at least three goals Beleza scorer (1, 200pts, nobody, 5pts)
I am actually a little pessimistic about this game, considering Beleza's last performances in the league and the fact that Melbourne City looked solid in this competition (although it has to be said that so far they never met teams at their level). I'll anyway try to shake off this feeling and to make a winning prediction: in the end, Japanese women's football is the top-level in Asia ad deserves showcasing that at club level also, no matter what particular team happens to represent it. 1. Melbourne City 1-3 Beleza 2. Moka Hiwatari 3. Moka Hiwatari, Yuzuho Shiokoshi, Miharu Shinjo 4. nobody 5. nobody
