We get New Zealand from pot 3. The real danger now is picking Italy, a team who's far ahead most of the other ones from pot 4.
And indeed we get Italy! This will also put my loyalty to test: I want Japan to win the group, but I'd also want Italy to advance. Edit: we could have picked such cakewalk teams as one of the African ones or Ecuador or even New Caledonia (of course, that's before we had New Zealand as our pot 3 choice). Instead, we have got probably the strongest team from pot 4, a veritable "false" pot 4 team.

The average of their given goals this season is almost 4 (34/9). Unbelievable, it's certain that the coach can't teach them how to defend. By the way, nonetheless I always root for them
I see what you mean....but I look at other things...Viama vs Nittaidai. Viama scored 4 against them with a home advantage, conceding 2. Belle vs Viama. Viama scored 3 against belle conceding just 1, Belle having the home advantage. So I'm thinking a 1-0 or 2-1 to Nittaidai, we'll see. I also though to add Asaka Miyu as one of the 5 goal scorers but decided against it as she can be a bit of a clown sometimes.
It depends: if USA don't send their pro-players (and by reading their thread it looks at least dubious that they can do), their team could become much more beatable than what it could seem on paper.

My extra game (2) final: Japan vs North Korea 1 half time exact score (50pts, half hit 20pts) 2 full time exact score (100pts, half hit 50pts) (if you entry tie score in regular time, you can do the extra time score, 100pts, regardless of whether your regular time score is correct or not.) 3 Japan's first scorer (100pts, none, 100pts) 4 Japanese scorers (3, 20 pts, perfect 3, +100pts, nobody, 100pts) 5 at least two goals Japanese scorer (1, 100 pts, nobody 10pts) 6 at least three goals Japanese scorer (1, 200pts, nobody 5pts) 7 exact time of Japan's first goal (200pts, nothing, 100pts)
There were somr pretty good goals today! Ikuta's solo goal and Yanase's volley were both excellent. Stella were far too good for Ohmiya today. Stella's pressing, counter-pressing and defence towards the end of this season really has been brilliant. Today they barely gave Ohmiya any significant chances to score apart from corners. Ohmiya have some very good players and I feel they should be doing better. I am not sure I would continue with their current manager Rina Yanai, because they do not seem to have a very clear system of football. I have been critical of JEF's manager Karmele Tores due to her persistence with playing out from the back, but at least JEF have a system and when it works it is beautiful to watch. Having said that in the last two months even JEF have started to mix up their play a lot more. I imagine Yanai will get one more season but if Ohmiya are not challenging for the top 3 I think she will be out of job quite quickly. Anyway, back to Stella. I am not sure what happened to them, but things started to click for Stella about two months ago. It gives me some optimism for next season, but who knows what will happen to the squad. In the end Stella's season does not look that bad if you leave out the top 3 teams. Not the top 3 16 games played Wins - 8 Draws - 3 Losses - 5 26 goals scored - this was really nice to see 13 goals conceded For reference against the top 3. Top 3 6 games played Wins - 0 Draws - 0 Losses - 6 2 goals scored 21 goals conceded It is not pretty against the top 3. They played the top 3 five times in the firs half of the season and got spanked each time. I hope it goes better next season.
Nadeshiko League 1 F.T....Ehime 3-1 Nippatsu Played at Sky Field Tomisato on a pitch with invisible lines...why? A much needed three points from a team playing like their starting places depended on it..big improvement from recent games..lot more commitment urgency and effort...let's have more.
I'm going for a weekend trip and I'm not sure I will have access to internet, so I post this provisional prediction, reserving the right to change it later, closer to the match. I hope it's ok with you. 1. 0-0 2. 1-1, 5-4 after PS 3. Higuchi 4. Higuchi, Sumiya, Kurita 5. Higuchi 6. Higuchi 7. 77'
Oh, I didn't imagine that it's straight to PK shootout. So I have to delete this "(if you entry tie score in regular time, you can do the extra time score, 100pts, regardless of whether your regular time score is correct or not.)" And add if you entry tie score in regular time, you can do "exact PK score" +100pts regardless of whether your regular time score is correct or not.
Today's result (2) Nadeshiko League Harima 0-1 Orca(Kurata Akari) Ehime (Kawasaki Wakana, OG, Tanoue) 3-1 Nippatsu (Matsuo) Nadeshiko League 2 Shonan 0-1 Izumo (Ise) Speranza (Watariya) 1-0 Renofa By the way, when I saw the scorer's name (渡谷) of Speranza, I thought her name is whether Wataritani or Toya. No way, is it a quize or something?
