    Wow, I am shocked! :eek::eek::eek:

Especially at how easy it is in Japan to keep own privacy, compared to the Western world.

Edit: also, I'd like a traslation of the post: since it's a picture, I can't just use one of the common translators.

I apologize for this sudden announcement.
I have decided to leave Ehime FC Ladies after the match on June 29th and transfer to AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies.
First of all, I would like to thank all the club members who respected my decision and supported me, even though it was in the middle of the season.

Even though I was the captain. Even though it was the middle of the season.
I had a lot of thoughts.
I was leaving the club that I had been with for about 10 years.
It was not an easy decision.
But I still wanted to challenge myself to reach my potential as a soccer player.
If I missed this chance, it might never come again.
    I had that feeling strongly.

During my high school days, I played against Ehime FC Ladies, who were very attractive to me, and I wanted to play soccer for this team! That's how I came to Ehime Prefecture.
For about 10 years since I was 18 years old. I never thought I would meet such wonderful people in such a wonderful place.
I had many options, but I decided to go to Ehime.
I chose to play in Ehime for these 10 years.
I have no regrets and I'm really glad I made this decision.

I'm grateful to Seven Stars Co., Ltd., who has employed me until now.
They have been my sponsor for the past 8 years.
When I joined the company, they became my sponsor and we have been together ever since. They have shown me various forms of support, such as cheering booths, banners, and collaborative lunches, which has made me feel happy as an amateur athlete.
I'm really glad that I was able to work here in such a warm workplace. I'm filled with gratitude.
    Thank you very much.

Thank you to all the fans and supporters
    for always pushing us forward.
I will never forget the view when we won the second division.
I think the reason Ehime FC Ladies is such a great club is because of all the wonderful fans and supporters.
I was really happy to be able to play for this team that is loved by everyone.
When I heard the chants for me, I felt the joy of being a soccer player.
    Thank you so much.

I am truly grateful to all the club staff
    for respecting my feelings.
I have been able to grow thanks to all the staff who have been involved with me so far.
I will become a player who can increase the value of Ehime FC Ladies.
    Thank you very much.

    To all my beloved teammates,
I'm so sorry and sad that I can't fight with you for the rest of the season. Every day I spend with you is so much fun, it still doesn't really sink in. But I'll do my best not to be outdone by your efforts, and so that my performance can inspire you. I'll watch every game.
    I love you all!!!

Fortunately, there is still time left for me to greet everyone in person.
I will fight for Ehime with everything I've got in the remaining games.
I hope you will come and watch the games.

And please continue to support Ehime FC Ladies.
I love this club and will continue to support it.

I hope to wear this team's emblem and fight again someday. I treasure
the fact that I was able to spend such happy 10 years here in my life. I am who I am today because of Ehime FC Ladies. It is a club that has definitely helped me grow as a soccer player, and it is a place where I have been able to gain great experiences. I will fight with determination, turning this gratitude into strength. I will definitely see you again. Thank you for all your love

    [Comment]
I was very nervous when I came to Ehime after graduating from high school, but I was really happy that my teammates, fans, and supporters welcomed me so warmly.
I thought this team had a bright atmosphere and that everyone could play and act for the team. I myself felt frustrated that I had few opportunities to play and did not get many results. Even in those times, I was saved many times by the warm words of my teammates and fans who supported me. Every day was intense and fun, and time passed by in a flash.
I was really happy to be able to play soccer on this team.
    I love Ehime FC Ladies.
I am still inexperienced, but I will take advantage of my experience in Ehime and take on new challenges.
And I will do my best to make my success reach Ehime! Please continue to support me.
Thank you very much for the short year and a half!

It would be nice if WE League could find a way to do something about this. Could make some impact looking as it seems to be a problem in the male leagues as well as in South Korea as well.

In general that's a nicely done survey with all these comparison points.

    Comment from Otsubo Sai
I have now decided to leave the club in the middle of the season and take on a new challenge.

There were many difficult times on the road to promotion from the Kanto League Division 2 to the Nadeshiko League, but the moment we achieved promotion after fighting together as a team, including teammates who had left or retired, was the most joyous and unforgettable memory of all.

The three and a half years I spent seriously facing soccer and remaining determined to win have become irreplaceable and precious times for me.

I thought long and hard about leaving the club in the middle of the season, and about transferring before achieving this year's goal of being promoted to the Nadeshiko League Division 1. However, I made this decision because I wanted to put myself in a tougher environment and improve myself.

I will work harder than ever before and do my best every day to show everyone that I have grown in size so that everyone will believe that this was the right decision.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the sponsors who have supported Vonds Ichihara FC Ladies, and to all the fans and supporters who have always believed in and continued to support us.

The days I spent with VONDS Ichihara FC Ladies were truly happy times that will never be replaced

A pair observations: did we contribute to this transfer by talking about Sai Otsubo in the last days? Anyway, I guess @Elstree will be pleased that a player that had previouly left Tsukuba because she felt Nadeshiko League was too much demanding, now even lands to WE League. :giggle:

Also: Nagano are having a quite aggressive campaign. Did they feel they hadn't enough depth to really compete? :cautious:

    Episode 4: Aemu Arrives

    In other news:

FIFPRO Asia/Oceania outlined a four-point plan for the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup, aimed at professionalising women’s football in the region.
The vision aims to deliver equal conditions for all future men’s and women’s AFC Asian Cups, including:
    • equality of conditions,
    • equal prize money,
    • a guaranteed player share of prize money,
    • co-designed tournament legacy between the players and the AFC.
(...) also launched a new League Benchmarking initiative at the General Assembly. The project aims to collate player feedback from its 12 member unions to compare working conditions across multiple clubs and leagues.

Modelled on Professional Footballers Australia’s (PFA) A-Leagues player survey, the project has received over 1,500 responses from players in Japan’s J.League and WE League.

Yes that's an odd coincidence o_O. I'm happy for her. So I'll have to take more interest in the WE League now. I hope they start streaming the games themselves instead of DAZN. Saying that I only got to see her play twice since she left Tsukuba, away vs Anclass in the promotional play-off and away to Nankatsu this season so if there's no change to the WE League broadcast then hopefully the WE League Cup will still be available to us.

I only follow 3 WE League teams on Twitter (now know as X) and it seems there are a lot of transfers this year from each of them.

    ----------------------------------------------

Another coincidence is, in the WE League questions for improvements, posted by @Lechus7, there are a lot of votes for more games. I don't think this has been posted but The WSL will be expanding to 14 teams for the 26/27 season
