Today's result: Nadeshiko League 2 Nankatsu (Ishikura, Tsutsui) 2-2 DR Hiroshima (Tani, Hamada) Shonan (Kato) 1-1 Yamato (Hamada) Mie 0-0 Izumo
Tomorrow's games: Nadeshiko League Orca vs Viama 13:00 Harima vs Speranza 13:00 Belle vs Nippatsu 13:00 Ehime vs Nagoya 13:00 Nittaidai vs Setagaya 14:00 Shizuoka vs Iga 15:00 Nadeshiko League 2 JFA vs Kibi 11:00 Fujizakura vs Bunnys 13:00 Imabari vs Ichihara 13:00
Funny that both goals in SEISA Shonan vs Yamato Sylphid were scored in injury-time of the 1st Half, at 45'+1' and 45'+2'. Veteran Haruka Hamada scored again, as did Kasumi Ishikura who remain an absolut record-scorer for her team.

This is interesting, because she is obviously good enough to play in the WSL or the NWSL, but has decided to return to Cerezo. It is good for Cerezo, but I am curious to know why she wanted to come back. I doubt we will ever find out. Of course where do they play her? I have been saying Wakisaka needs help in midfield, but with Yakata leaving they may play her as a striker, or in defence. Seriously, who knows with Takarada? I knew this was inevitable, but I assumed she would go to either INAC or Beleza. It vexes me, but what am I going to do about it? Nothing. How much Stella actually miss her is hard to say, but she is a very good player. I think at last count Stella have lost/let go 8 players and added 4. To be honest in the WE League I do not think you need more than 18 players in a squad, maybe 20. If there are injuries then you just play the youth team players. So far the key players for me that Stella have lost are Sakakibara, Hina Inoue (Sendai) and Megu Hamada (RB Ohmiya). Inoue has been injured a lot, but towards the end of last season she was starting to play a bit. Hamada is the real loss, because she was very good at righ-back and seemed to be improving. If RB Ohmiya play her at right-back she could be a good acquisition for them. I am not sure Urawa actually need Sakakibara. How are they they going to use her, because nobody has left their team except for Fukuda their backup keeper. Unless they are going to loan out players I am not sure how they can play everybody. They have so many players in midfield it is a bit silly.
Nadeshiko League 1 H.T... Ehime 0-0 Nagoya An excellent start from Ehime...high energy, high pressing, accurate passing, good close control but unfortuneately they have failed to score...only negative was an end of the half goalmouth scramble when Nagoya came close to scoring..front starting pair of Tanoue and Matsuoka and the inclusion of Kojima in the starting line up meant a surprise start on the bench for Nishimura and the so far ever present Fukasawa...Fuka Kono again starts on the bench (still can't see why he persists with this tactic unless she has a persistent injury) I fear Ehime will tire in the second half because of their high pressing but if not a draw at least is on the cards..we'll see
Nadeshiko League 1 F.T..Ehime 2-0 Nagoya Sometimes it's a pretty rubbish experience getting up at 4.45am to watch Ehime F.C Ladies...not so this weekend What a second half!....first have a look at the most unusual RED card probably ever handed out in Nadeshiko League 1 at 53 mins to Nagoya..Japanese speakers will be able to find out from commentary what the ref was actually doing. Ehime continued where they left off in the first half with the high pressing game and it payed dividends..Kono and Nishimura came on for Mori and Matsuoka at 60 mins.....Kojima put the home side a goal up at 73 mins when Nagoya failed to clear the ball and finally Fuka Kono got her first goal from open play after Sakurai broke through on goal and selflessly put it on a plate for her to score..three points against the team five points clear at the top of the league was certainly not what this viewer was expecting at 5am...so I have to ask myself why oh why can't Ehime play this football week in week out..happy days Edit..perhaps someone would kindly have a look and enlighten me about the RED card...thanks
Miyabi Moriya entered the pitch in 62nd minute for LA against NC of Manaka Matsukubo (88mins and assist) and Shinomi Oyama (76 mins).
I believe it is a "denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity" (DOGSA) therefore it is a red card. According to the laws it seemed like a pretty straight forward red. If she had fouled her in the penalty box then she probably would have only got a yellow.
4 Points in order that DOGSO comes into effect 1: the distance to the goal 2: the direction where the fouled player will go to without the foul 3: the places and the number of the other diffenders 4: the possibility of the fouled player can play on the ball without the foul
Today's result: Nadeshiko League Orca (OG) 1-1 Viama (Ohya) Harima (Yoshida) 1-0 Speranza Belle (Uchida, Yamashita) 2-1 Nippatsu (Kurata) Ehime (Kojima, Kono) 2-0 Nagoya Nittaidai (Kitazawa) 1-3 Setagaya (Uchida, Horie, Kaneko Yui) Shizuoka (Aoba) 1-1 Iga (OG) Nadeshiko League 2 JFA (Furukawa, Fukushima) 2-1 Kibi (Kanda) Fujizakura (Kokaji, Hosaka) 2-0 Bunnys Imabari 0-7 Ichihara (Takeda 2, Sato, Sakuraba 3, Masuda)
First loss of the season for Nagoya (as already described by @Manchester Nadeshiko), who anyway retain their 1st place and even only lose one point to their immediate pursuers of Shizuoka, Iga and Via. Not many changes of positions overall this week: Orca just lost two positions to Harima and Setagaya, nothing else. Mitsuki Horie, with today's goal, caught up with Kumi Yokoyama at the top of the scorers' rankings. I read that the latter played about 15' at the end of Shizuoka's game and I guess this is a good sign. Wow, quite exciting results in Nadeshiko League 2 today! Second win for JFA Academy Fukushima, and even vs the league-leaders of Kibi (although it only came at 90'+1'). What did suddenly happen to them? Noa Fukushima's good form (she scored the winner) is not enough of an explanation. They have now jumped two positions ahead in the rankings, from one-to-last to 9th (since they beat Diavorosso's goal difference). Meanwhile, the other league's leader team, Bunnys, meet their first loss in the league, to Fujizakura. So, both Fujizakura and VONDS get closer to the top of the rankings. VONDS in particular are really impressing: their 0-7 win in Imabari is now the most resounding win of the season (beating the 2-8 away win Kibi had posted vs Yamato Sylphid on the 3rd match-day). If they weren't imposing enough, they have now got Nanako Takeda from Speranza Osaka, who already scored a brace today. The transfer must have been very recent, since the player doesn't even appear on the team's website yet and she scored for Speranza just two match-days ago, on the 24th of May (Nanako Takeda scored two of the only 8 goals Speranza scored this season; it looks like she thought that playing for an up-and-rising Division 2's team was better than staying in the dead-last one of Division 1, but of course she leaves even less hope to Speranza this way ).
First.... @Manchester Nadeshiko Great result for your girls. Great to see Tanoue Ayumi on the pitch For the last few seasons there has been only 1 red card for the season. This year there's already been 4 (2 today) and today Nagoya had their second player sent off this season. Section 1 - Shizuoka vs Nagoya - from about 80 minutes game time Section 7 - Setagaya vs Viama - from about 48 minutes game time Section 13 - Shizuoka vs Iga - from about 21 minutes game time
Nagoya also lost their top scorer recently, Ezaki Anna has transferred to Albi I believe. If you look back Ichihara have been impressing for 4 years. 2022 Both Fujizakura and Ichihara join KLSL D2. Ichihara were second to Fujizakura only on goal difference. Neither team lost a game. Fujizakura were accepted to the Nadeshiko League, Ichihara were not. Meanwhile in D1 OSA Rhea topped the table 2023 Ichihara top the table beating last years champions by 1 point and losing only 1 game. OSA Rhea were accepted to the Nadeshiko League, Ichihara were not 2024 Ichihara top the table by 13 points and again without a loss. Finally accepted, Ichihara top the group without a loss Kanto region Empress' Cup and Ichihara finish 1st Empress' Cup Finals 2nd round - Ichihara 3-0 Mynavi Youth 3rd round - Nippatsu 0-1 Ichihara 4th round - Ichihara 2-1 Shizuoka 5th round (December 14th) - Sanfrecce 3-2 Ichihara. Ichihara have their first loss of 2024 and the winning goal was scored at 120+1 And if that's not enough.... my cute profile girl plays for them and scored last week She's the second player to leave a team before the summer break, Shinjo Mai the other (leaving Belle). I wonder if disagreements with staff?
Why weren't they accepted in 2023, despite topping the table? I had totally forgotten about the identity of your avatar girl! So she's Otsubo Sai? What team was she playing for when you made her your avatar?
Maybe financial or maybe facilities. Ryukyu Diegos took part in the qualifying one year but failed one year later for finances if I remember correctly, and was it Nankatsu that couldn't secure a natural turf pitch one year? Yes that's her, playing at Tsukuba at the time. She transferred to Ichihara saying the Nadeshiko League was too stressful. I'm happy she stayed at Ichihara despite them joining the league, was fearful I wouldn't get to see her play again. From just after 27 minutes is where I captured the profile picture from.
Another interesting transfer as it seems Yuzuho Shiokoshi is going to sign to Beleza. https://hochi.news/articles/20250615-OHT1T51297.html
Things are getting rough at Urawa. The players and club seem to be at odds after Kusunose was sacked. Shiokoshi wasn’t afraid to voice her frustration after the season ended. It’s not a very big surprise that she chose to follow the coach to Beleza. The fans have been asking for an explanation for months now. Their attendance numbers may plummet next season.
