It is said USL W League (93 clubs divided into 15 conferences) wage is: 35k $ minmal and around 60k $ average. Last season FC Olympia (Washington) won their own conference (9W-0L-1D), then in play-offs won round of 16 match before narrowly loosing in the quarterfinal against Colorado Storm - eventual USL W League runner-ups. Pay seem good (I doubt Beleza paid her 5,5 - 8,5 mln yen) and playing in Washington Kinoshita may hit NWSL's Washington Spirit radar.
Sometimes I dare to think I know women's football, then I come across post like this one and start blushing.
Unique player - height, power, technique and finesse all mixed up in one body to create magic like this on the pitch.
You give me too much credit. It's just the case of a little bit of searching. On another topic Bayern wins World Sevens Football tourney and Momoko Tanikawa is the top scorer with 4 goals. (1 in group phase, 2 in semi-final and 1 in final) .... and also with 2 or 3 assists.
I think Kinoshita is a brilliant player, so I am very happy she is going to be playing football. However, I must say I am a touch perplexed by how her career has gone over the last year. I think she is more than good enough to be playing in the NWSL or WSL, so she should do alright in this league.

Today's result: Nadeshiko League Nittaidai (Honda) 1-2 Shizuoka (Tsuchiya, Miwa) Speranza (Takeda) 1-1 Viama (Ohya) Harima 0-0 Setagaya Nadeshiko League 2 Bunnys (Miaki) 1-0 Mie
Tomorrow's games: Nadeshiko League Orca vs Ehime 12:00 Iga vs Nippatsu 13:00 Belle vs Nagoya 13:00 Nadeshiko League 2 JFA vs DR Hiroshima 11:00 Fujizakura vs Izumo 12:00 Shonan vs Imabari 13:00 Kibi vs Yamato 13:00 Nankatsu vs Ichihara 14:00
Yuzuki Tsuchiya is on a roll, right now, having scored in four consecutive weeks. Her team takes the temporary lead of the league, while waiting for Nagoya's match tomorrow. Meanwhile Via Materras Miyazaki, after 5 wins and 5 losses, had their first draw of the season. Bunnys catch up with Kibi at the top (although Kibi can take the lead alone again tomorrow), but especially they create a big separation to their opponents of today, since they now have a 7 points advantage over Veertien Mie Ladies, currently at the 3rd place (and they'll anyway maintain at least 5 points over the 3rd place, even if Mie are passed by some other team tomorrow).
AFC Women's Champions' League's final is currently underway (0-0 at 60' so far) and, although there are no Japanese players on the pitch, there is a Japanese main-role anyway: the central referee Asaka Koizumi and the lineswomen Makoto Bozono and Chihiro Ikki form a fully Japanese referees' team.
On Tuesday, May 20, the Japan Football Association (JFA) announced the 23 members of the Nadeshiko Japan (Japan Women's National Team) that will take part in the international friendly match against the Brazil Women's National Team. JFA Women's Committee Chairperson Sasaki Norio and Coach Nils Nielsen appeared at an online press conference. The team is mainly made up of members who played in the international friendly match against the Colombia Women's National Team in April, and includes captain Kumagai Saki (London City Lionesses), Nagatanigawa Yui (Manchester City), and Tanaka Minami (Utah Royals). Also on the list are goalkeepers Yamashita Ayaka and Fujino Aoba (both Manchester City), and Chiba Reina (Eintracht Frankfurt), who were not called up for the Colombia match. Making his first call-up is Yamamoto Yuzuki, who led Nippon TV Tokyo Verdy Beleza to their first ever title in the WE League this season and won the MVP award. Coach Nielsen expressed his expectations for Yamamoto, who is showing remarkable growth, saying, "I want her to show her speed and physical strength (on the pitch)." Takahashi Hana and Ishikawa Rion (both Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Urawa Reds Ladies), who were also selected for the Best 11 in the WE League, have also been included in the team. Chiba and Yamamoto, who often play in attacking positions, have been called up as defenders this time. Coach Nielsen prefaced his decision by saying, "I would like to test them in training first and then decide," but added, "My first thought is to use her as a fullback. However, she is also a player who excels at attacking, so I would like to try various things," suggesting that she will be a new option for Nadeshiko Japan. Brazil, which won the silver medal at the 33rd Olympic Games (Paris 2024), will welcome back Marta, who had announced her retirement from the national team. "Brazil has many other good players besides Marta, but I've enjoyed watching her play for the past 10 years or so. I'm looking forward to seeing her on the pitch again," said Coach Nielsen with a smile, and warned of Brazil's key player, "Age is just a number. Her performance is excellent and she's full of energy." On this tour of Brazil, Nadeshiko Japan will play two matches at the Neo Química Arena in Sao Paulo, which will also be the venue for the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027. Coach Nielsen said, "Being able to experience playing at the same venue as the Women's World Cup will be an asset for the future. How can we stay focused and fight at an away venue with lively and tough fans?", highlighting the significance and key points of this tour, emphasizing that it is part of the path to the Women's World Cup. The first match of the international friendly match against Brazil will be held on Friday, May 30th at 9:30pm (Japan time) / Saturday, May 31st at 9:30am (Japan time), and the second match will be held on Monday, June 2nd at 8pm (Japan time) / Tuesday, June 3rd at 8am (Japan time). Norio Sasaki, JFA Women's Committee Chair: The two matches against Brazil are very far away (as they are away games), but Brazil has been improving lately, and we are competing (closely) in the world rankings. In these two matches, we would like to show everyone the strength of Nadeshiko Japan. The tour of Brazil, which is also the venue for the next Women's World Cup, will also serve as a simulation for that. The matches will be broadcast, so I hope you will enjoy the soccer of Nadeshiko Japan led by Coach Nielsen. Nadeshiko Japan Coach Nils Nielsen: Brazil is a very tough and great opponent. The match in Brazil, the host city of the next Women's World Cup, will be a great opportunity for Nadeshiko Japan to find out where we are at the moment (as we aim to be the best in the world). In the last match against Colombia, the players were a little hesitant, so we would like to improve on that. In the tough environment and atmosphere of an away match in Brazil, we would like to focus on doing our best.
In case you were unaware, Yokoyama went off injured in the last minute of injury time in last weeks game and missed this weeks game. It looked quite painful. Hope it wasn't anything serious, she is a delight to watch. (2h 17m stream time)
U19 additional player Tsuge Sawa (Chifure) from Fujieda graduates at last; CBs in this team are very satisfactory. Kurimoto Yuka is out due to injury Nezu Ririka is in
Today's result: Nadeshiko League Orca (Davis, Urabe, Matsumoto) 3-2 Ehime (Maeda, Matsuoka) Iga (Nishibayashi 2) 2-0 Nippatsu Belle 0-1 Nagoya (Ezaki) Nadeshiko League 2 JFA (Ito, Fukushima) 2-2 DR Hiroshima (Hamada, Yamane) Fujizakura 0-3 Izumo (Tomochika, Sato, Miyatake) Shonan (Kato, Suzuki) 2-2 Imabari (Morise, Ikezawa) Kibi (Nishimura 2, Kudo) 3-0 Yamato Nankatsu (Ishikura) 1-3 Ichihara (Sato, OG, Ishii)
With Anna Ezaki's lonely goal, Nagoya manage to keep the lead over Shizuoka. By beating Ehime, Orca start creating some separation from the bunch at the bottom. Kibi keep the lead alone. Quite impressive that newly promoted VONDS Ichihara FC Ladies are now at 3rd place! JFA Academy Fukushima keep being winless and keep standing at the last place. Impressive that Kasumi Ishikura scored 7 of the 11 goals her team, Nankatsu SC Wings, scored so far in the league.
