Egawa's hobbling but walking on her own. Looks like she strained/pulled rather than torn her muscle in game against Iran. She should be back for WWC in November.

Moeka Minami, with Roma, is going to start the final of Coppa Italia vs Juventus in 10 minutes. I can follow it on TV (RAI 2) in Italy, but I am afraid is geoblocked outside of mt country.
Sendai avoid the last loss (but not the last place in the league) with two late goals having a distinct "vintage" feeling, having been scored by Rin Sumida and Emi Nakajima (both at their first goal in this season! ). Their mix of veterans and youngsters wasn't enough for them this season, though. Crazy game, as it's been said, and crazy season: what I don't forgive is that Urawa managed to be kicked from the AFC Women's Champions' League! Who is this Yuna Takahashi? I had never heard of her. Is she in any way related to Hana Takahashi (apart from the obvious fact that they both scored today )? Congratulations to Beleza, although their football this season wasn't as good as it was in the past seasons. On the other hand, they have lost too many players in the latest years not to impact their quality: it's almost a miracle that they somehow managed to barely win anyway, by mere goal difference. Carla Morera replaced today Carlota Suarez (who anyway retains the title of WE League's top-scorer) as the main striker, but the "Spanish connection" wasn't enough to give the title to INAC: it's a shame especially for Yui Narumiya, who remains one of my favourite players. As it's been written by @pierre bezukhov, I wonder if the Spanish players will remain for next season. @unepommekun is right to talk about a dramatic game! Yukari Kinga had said goodbye to women's football in her last home game the other week, but she anyway wanted to gift herself a final goal, as a deserved seal to her great career. But Ema Yokoyama (a player I can't just stop liking more and more every day) managed to equalize that goal in additional time. And after that, it was Mami Ueno who missed the even later PK, wasn't she? She couldn't stop crying after the game, while Yukari Kinga was still laughing and soothing her... I can understand her tears: she lost the chance to reach the 3rd place of the scorers' rankings and Regina lost the 4th place to Albirex. Another old-timer, Ayaka Inoue, gives Omiya the win with her brace; on the other side is the very promising youngster Natsumi Tago who shines. We're going to see what Omiya will do next season, with their new name (and probably new investments): meanwhile they caught-up with Nojima in the final rankings, but they remain behind by goal difference. Later this month (or in the next month, depending on how much spare time I have from work) I'll prepare my usual seasonal scorers' chart, now that all of the competitions of season 2024-2025 have ended for WE League's teams.
Is it correct that in Nadeshiko League 2 also Nankatsu-JFA was played? Looks like the score was a 1-1 draw (goals by Kasumi Ishikura For Nankatsu Wings and Keiko Kitajima for JFA Academy). By the way, it was the chance for JFA to catch up with Nankatsu at the last place with a win, but they only managed to equalize the home team initial advantage, so they remain behind them by three points.
Carlota Suarez already confirmed leaving the club, so INAC is gonna lose the league top scorer already. I haven't read anything yet about the other two Spanish though.
Today's (Tomorrow's) games: Nadeshiko League Nippatsu vs Viama 13:00 Shizuoka vs Orca 13:00 Belle vs Nittaidai 13:00 Setagaya vs Speranza 14:00 Nadeshiko League 2 Imabari vs Bunnys 13:00 DR Hiroshima vs Fujizakura 13:30
Takahashi Yuna (16 years old) got MVP in the Montaigu Tournament last year. Like another hopeful Hirakawa Hina she still belongs in Urawa Youth too. Urawa has lots of young talents besides them; Takatsuka, Fujisaki, Sakurai, Maehara and so on. Conversely it might be difficult for its managers to deal with the situations. They would not be enough to replace veterans like Ando, Sugaswa and Naomoto yet. By the way, the possibility of that Yuna is relative with Hana would be more or less 0.001%, I don't know the fact though. There could be at least 1million Takahashi in Japan.
Today's result: Nadeshiko League Nippatsu (Watanabe) 1-2 Viama (Yamagishi, Matsui) Shizuoka (Tsuchiya) 1-1 Orca (Asano) Belle (Nakano, Okita) 2-2 Nittaidai (Nishikiori, Shinoda) Setagaya 0-0 Speranza Nadeshiko League 2 Imabari 0-5 Bunnys (Ohkubo, Yamaguchi, Takatsuka, Ohya, Kiryu) DR Hiroshima 0-0 Fujizakura
Yume Harashima won OFC Champions League with Auckland United. They defeated Hekari from Papua New Guinea 1:0 in the final like last year. Harashima (No6) with the shot that was deflected by two of her teammates for the decisive goal. Yuzuki Tsuchiya scored her 5th goal in the league today; Orca Kamogawa were angry that she ruined their umptenth perfect 0-0 draw and they had least scored the equalizer 7 minutes later. Now Orca have 7 draws out of 10 games (current record in Nadeshiko League 1, along with Nittaidai). In this match-day, by the way, all of the games were draw except two, so the teams who won were the only ones to gain positions, while the losers were out in the cold . Of the 5 teams that were at 9 points last week, only Nippatsu have lost, so they remained behind alone in the one-to-last place. The two winners (both by just an one goal margin) were Nagoya, who took the lead and are the only team who haven's lost a single match, and Viama, who are the only team who have no draws: out of 10 games, they had 5 wins and 5 losses, no half measures for them. With their resounding win, Bunnys take advatage of Kibi losing points and lifte themselves up at just 3 points from the top. In Nadeshiko League 2 it's interesting that a newly promoted team as VONDS Ichihara is currently at 4th place.
