Suzu Amano transfers on loan from Hammarby to Vaxjo. Good for her. In Vaxjo she will get much more playing time. Hammarby och Växjö DFF är överens om ett lån av Suzu Amano. Lånet sträcker sig över 2025.Stort lycka till och kör hårt, Suzu! 💚#Bajen— Hammarby Fotboll (@hammarbyfotboll) January 10, 2025

Today's result: U18 Championship final Inac (Kojima) 1-3 Menina (Suzuki, Shinjo, Sunaga) Tomorrow's game: High School Championship final Kamimura Gakuen vs Fujieda Junshin 13:40 Maybe you can watch this one because it is live on TBS.
Not only their idol: I guess I already mentioned how Yume Takikawa is easily my favourite Albi's player. Why didn't they show a reply of the goal vs Sendai at 1':35" of the video? It's maybe the most impressive one of the lot!
Today's result: High School Championship final Kamimura 0-5 Fujieda (Fujihara, Tsuge, Suzuki, Otsuji, Genma) Nielsen and Norio were watching this game on the stand.
There have been no teams who won the title devastatingly like it in the recent high school tournament history. It's partly because all members are over other school players average including the bench ones, and their plays are highly accurate in the final third. In the other teams only Ohta of Daisho seemed to be really outstanding. One more player I like is Sakurai Ririka of Seiwa. In fact, I wanted to a game of Fujieda vs Menina.
Although it is not mentioned in the article, Manager Nielsen has also observed the U-18 Japan Women's Championship final. https://t.co/XIfLOXVQs0— Wo So JAPAN (@WoSoJAPAN) January 12, 2025
Nilsen was clearly impressed with the level of U18's - which he thinks is higher than in Europe. Well... I hope it was just a polite remark on his side and not some true astonishment, considering that Japan has played in 3 consecutive final matches at WWC U20... (2018-2024) Now, lets see if he can impress... by winning SBC with Nadeshiko.
Thank you for your concern. In fact, I didn't notice that at all; a little apart from its shaking range.
Tsukuba Ladies. Sad to see so many depart. A few are retiring but the others are just leaving. Side by side images of their 2024 squad and now (14/1/25) with those that are still there
Apologies if this was discussed already in a prior thread, but I saw that Kizaki Aoi has been signed by AFC Toronto, and is set to take part in the inaugural season of Canada's Northern Super League. (The team's YT channel has a brief interview with her here.) Can any of those more familiar with Kizaki-senshu's career in Japan speak as to what kind of player her soon-to-be-fans on this side of the Pacific might expect to find?
Ayaka Yamashita played whole match for City against Ipswich in their FA Cup match. Hasegawa and Fujino chilled on the bench.
Well, she is a defender who plays mostly on the left. She had her best period of football while playing for Regina in Hiroshima, but moved to Beleza at the start of 2023 where she got less and less playing time. Last year she barely played. She is quite fast by Japanese standards, good on the ball and a solid defender. She has good vision and is not a bad crosser. I am not sure where she will play for you, because a lot of Japanese wingers/side-backs end up playing in central midfield when they move overseas. Why this happens is usually because they are technically superior, but not as strong or as fast as their teammates. If Toronto are looking to play possession based football and are going to keep the ball on the ground then she should be fine and probably be very good for them. She will probably take some time to adjust to all the space she will have on the ball, because Japanese league football is played in very tight spaces.
The fixtures for the second half of the season is out. You can see it on the WE League website. INAC - Urawa followed by Urawa - NTV Beleza to end the season, just like last year. Hoping these two games will have more stakes than they ended up having last season.
Rumour has it Kumagai has recived very good financial offer from oversea (newly created pro-league in Canada perhaps?)
