Watching Zambia vs. Paraguay in Japan group. It's 1-1 after 26 mins. On Paraguay equaliser Zambian goalie pushed the ball into own net in somewhat clumsy attempt to save a weak shot. Quite hillarious I must say. In previous action there was a challenge from Paraguay for a pk after a handball - not given. Let me tell you if this ref would've been officiating Japan vs. New Zealand match then Japan would've had excatly 0 PK's Oh my... another rookie error from Zambian goalie. She drops the ball just before long kick to the field...steps outside pk box but instead of kicking it then with her feet, she collects the ball to her hands for second attempt of long kick. Paraguay got FK from just outside the box and scored action later from following corner kick. btw. @Manchester Nadeshiko the white gull returns to mess with Paraguayans this time (dunno what kind of a bird it really is) ZAM 1 - 2 PAR HT Undisciplined yet happy football from Zambia while Paraguay looks more structured as a team but struggle with rivals speed. Neither of those two teams should present a bigger challnge to Japan than New Zealand.
New Zealand defended really well and kept themselves in the game for the first half. Fortunately for us, they maybe got tired after the break and/or Japan became more decisive. It's good 3 points!
But, your choice Nakamura was brilliant, though she was unable to score. I realized from this game, core members of this team should be two JFA players (Fukushima, Furukawa), three Menina ones (Aoki, Matsuoka, Sunaga), Takahashi and Nakamura.
Zambia 1 - 2 Paraguay FT Not much changed in 2nd half. Zambia missed PK (hit the post) and in general were very much unlucky to not collect even 3 points from this game. (both Paraguay goals came from Zambia's goalie individual errors)

Congratulation to @Miora, despite the worse record, for guessing Miho Kamogawa's goal! Noa Fukushima ended up making the difference between me and @Lohmann, from being just behind to being just ahead.
Yui Hasegawa played whole match and scored, Aoba Fujino 65 minutes for ManCity at Newcastle in League Cup.
Fuka Tsunoda played entire League Cup game, Kiko Seike (2 goals!) and Moeka Minami since 63rd minute for Brighton against Southampton.
Hina Sugita played whole match, Miyabi Moriya 74 minutes and Jun Endo 60 minutes for LA against Portland.
Nadeshiko League 1 Champions Nagoya - Quite dull to watch but got the job done, 7x 1-0 scores. Are they physically bigger than other teams or is it the red that gives that illusion? Iga - Did better than I expected but conceded a few too many goals. Shizuoka - Probably should have done better, they seem to lose concentration at times, but still the most entertaining team to watch. Viama - Might have done better if captain Kakazu wasn't out injured most of the season. Also entertaining that the are constantly moving forward. Harima - Thought they would be near the bottom after being so poor last season and losing all their pre season games, including a 4-1 to Speranza. It's nice to see them back in the top half. Belle - A back to front team Shioya Runa (ex Bunnys), a forward playing in defence and Murugata Rie (ex Norddea) a defender playing as a forward. Ehime - A good end to the season with 7 points from 3 games. Nippatsu - With a team that changed little since last season where they were 2nd. Poor. Orca - Scored only 1 more goal than Speranza at the bottom. They're quite an ugly team to watch taking the physical side of the game too far at times. Setagaya - Shockingly poor. They lost Shinbori in the transfers but gained Uchda Misuzu, another goal scorer. Horie, 3rd overall for goals scored in the league but the team finished 10th? Nittaidai - They seemed to be too immature this year.as a team. Speranza - Not a surprise to see them bottom but they held their own against Nittaidai (2-2 and 0-0), Setagaya (0-0 and 1-1) and Viama (1-1 and 1-1) Nadeshiko League 2 Champions Ichihara - A great first season for them. They had a great run of 8 wins to end the season, scored 27, conceded 3. Izumo - With the foreign players gone and the underwear allegations with them they played well especially towards the end. Kibi - I was hoping they would finish second and win the playoffs, so we'd get to see Nishimura Rua, who has been getting in the top scorers list several times over the last 6-7 years. Bunnys - So disappointing towards the end. Fujuzakura - Also disappointing. JFA, Yamato, DR Hiroshima all on 22 points and Nankatsu in 11th on 21 points. Nankatsu were the only team livestreaming their games in D2 this year. they stopped a couple of games from the end of the season and then had 3 wins from 4 games. (see below livestreaming in D2) Imabari - Impressive attendance but poor performances. -------------------------------------------------------- Attendances Division - Team - Each home game - Total/Average per game. So Imabari, 12th, and DR Hiroshima,10th. Have better attendance than 3 of the last 5 D1 champions (Iga, Orca and Nagoya) and are probably on par with Setagaya if we don't include their 2 games at the Olympic Park stadium. The 5x D2 teams with their highest attendance with an asterisk are games where they hosted Fujizakura. -------------------------------------------------------- Penalties 4 years for comparison. Take a guess when Otake Mayu transferred to Nojima. -------------------------------------------------------- Division 2 Livestreaming So it seems the livestreaming teams need to be good enough to eventually get promoted or they end up at the bottom of the table or relegated. Kibi streams were from too far away and with poor equipment to really see much. 2021 (8 teams) 2nd - Bunnys - 2nd to JFA, promoted, playoff win vs Yamato. 3rd - Shizuoka 5th - Norddea 6th - Tsukuba 7th - Kibi - streamed on Eleven 2022 (10 teams) 1st - Shizuoka - promoted as champions 3rd - Yamato - promoted to replace Cerezo 5th - Anclas - started streaming 6th - Kibi - stopped streaming on Eleven at the end of 22 7th - Norddea 8th - Tsukuba 2023 (10 teams) 4th - Anclas 6th - Kibi - started streaming on Youtube 8th - Tsukuba 10th - Norddea - Relegated 2024 (12 teams) 4th - Kibi - stopped streaming at the end of 24 11th - Tsukuba - Relegated 12th - Anclas - Relegated 2025 (12 teams) 11th - Nankatsu - Relegation playoff. That's enough for today
The 2 foreign players, Thays Ferrer and Spenazzatto Laura had accused the coach of harassment of some kind (sexual?) because he supposedly was hanging his underwear to dry in the teams locker rooms. They were seeking compensation. He's still there and they have gone, the team is doing well now.
This case has some complicated and sensitive issues. The players sued the coach for his filthy words against them, and then he countercharged them for their libel against him. I, or you don't know which is right. Naybe this conflict happened due to the difference between both countries' common knowledge. This kind of problems can happen in every club having foreign players in it. Although I'm not sure whether I'm right or not, I feel that the coach was too careless and the players were too stubborn.
Midweek matches: WE League Nojima vs Jef 18:00 (October 22nd) U17 WWC Japan vs Zambia 1:00 (October 23rd in Japan), maybe 22nd for most members
My small game for midweek matches: 1 You select one from three options (two winning teams or draw), the number is your possible point. Nojima (40), draw (20), Jef (40) 2 scorers of this match ((3, 20pts, perfect 3, 100pts, nobody (including OG), 50pts)) 3 Little Nadeshiko scorers vs Zambia (3, 20pts, perfect 3, 100pts, nobody 100pts)
1. draw 2. nobody Knowing a little how Nadeshiko teams work in these youth tournament, I want to bet that there will be a lot of rotations and that, in particular, who's arguably our best striker, Noa Fukushima, won't be a starter vs Zambia. So I'll go with: 3. Yuna Takahashi, Ua Ohno, Yuna Aoki (I assume that, being the captain, she will be on the pitch again and maybe she will take another PK ).
