A question, maybe @pierre bezukhov would know the answer. Katsurama Fumina and Uchida Misuzu were both playing for Changnyeong in the WK League last year. Uchida has returned to Japan and played this season at Setagaya. What has happened to Katsurama? Moved further away? Retired?
Friendly reminder that U17 World Cup has just started with Morocco-Brazil. Simple registration with email required to watch.
As far as I know she retired in December last year. She is 31 now, so probably a good time. It is hard to keep track of players when they do not have public social media accounts. Even then it can be quite tough.
Fumina Katsurama was one of my favourite players, but it was complicated for me to follow her since she had transferred to Korea. I give a nod to her humble but respectable career, now that I know that she officially retired.
Manaka Matsukubo played whole match and scored HATTRICK while Shinomi Koyama 86 minutes with one goal for NC at BayFC.
North Carolina had an all Japanese scoring sheet. In particular Manaka Matsukubo is scoring a lot in a top-league abroad: maybe in was from the times of Yuki Nagasato in Frauen-Bundesliga that we hadn't a so prolific scorer in an high profile foreign league. Is she maybe the striker we have always needed to properly finalize all of our possession and dominance in the middle of the pitch? I sure hope so! Of course, though, in a typical Nadeshiko fashion, she had to miss a penalty along the road to her hat-trick... When will we learn to take them?
