If I am not wrong, Yuna Katayama have added another goal to her record, but... in the wrong goal! Correct me if I am wrong, but, judging by the jersey number, it seems to me that it was her who deflected the ball in her own goal in the mid-week game vs Beleza :
Learning that Rika MASUYA had an another ACL injury in 2 years, some us thought that she might end her career. It's official now. https://inac-kobe.com/news/detail/8404
Very sad: she was a good player who would have deserved a different and more satisfying career, especially at the internatonal level.
Makes you wonder how long world football is gonna keep looking the other way and not spending some serious time and money investigating the never ending ACL saga that is blighting the womens game. It seems that the relationship between heading the ball and degenerative mental conditions in the men's game is being researched quite extensively.
It relates to male players from back in the day who are now elderly and suffering from dementia and whether this is a disproportionate number of the whole who have the condition
Oh, wow, I didn't even have her in my Nojima's roster (that's why I thought it was #29)! When was she signed? Odd name: is she Japanese?
She is a rookie from Jumonji all-female college. https://stellakanagawa.nojima.co.jp/news/2023/231215_01.html

Well, seems something similar to what I had suggested: that since AFC suddenly decided to drop the event, JFA and/or the clubs involved can privately set up the game anyway and throw it in AFC's collective face!
Homare Sawa, Aya Miyama and Mana Iwabuchi sliding for a ball like it's 2011. Girls saying they won't wash their hands after high-fiving the GOATs.
Was there some "three champions vs everyone else" game? These are the players that originally made me fall in love with Japanese women's football: no-one could actually take their place in my heart. Aya Miyama is always the more talkative and the more playful one, isn't she?
They just rock. I've loved every new incarnation of Nadeshiko since 2011, but nobody replaces those legends in my heart. Yet at least.
2011 "Saki Kumagai to make history.....history is made" (Enough to make a grown man cry) P.s......and still does
