Actually my seasonal charts show that she has always been a decent scorer in the past seasons: 9 goals in 2023-2024 with Cerezo between League and Cup (6 and 3 respectively), 7 goals each in the previous two seasons with Sendai (all in the League in one case, divided between League, League Cup and Empress' Cup in another). 10 goals in 2020 with Cerezo, when the season was still encompassing just a solar year (8 in the League and 2 in the Empress' Cup, where Cerezo reached the quarter-finals; the League Cup wasn't played that year beacuse of covid) is her best seasonal record so far. Previously, when she was very young, she had just scored 5 or 6 goals per season in Second Division.

This time though, she already almost exceeded her best record for a whole season despite not being even at the half of it (she currently has a total of 10 goals, since, along with the 9 in the WE League, she has scored one in the WE League Cup, although Cerezo are already eliminated from it). Could it be that, at 24 (she will turn 25 on the 30th of December), she's currently at her peak? It's also significant that she manages to score so much for Cerezo, who are a middle-of-the-rankings team (currently they're 7th-placed).
It has to be noted, though, that a whopping 7 of her 9 goals in the League were scored vs the last three teams in the rankings , one vs Nojima Stella Kanagawa Sagamihara and two hat-tricks  vs Mynavi Sendai Ladies and Omiya Ardija Ventus. Admittedly, the other two goals were scored vs Regina and Beleza, but they were part of two 1-4 losses. :x3:

So, maybe is it still early to read too much into her anyway impressive current record? :cautious: Let's wait for her being an actual deciding factor against strong opposition? :barefoot:

She is a genuine threat in front of goal and when she plays for Cerezo they look much more dangerous. She gets a lot more space against the weaker teams, so she tends to score more goals against them.

She does fly a bit under the radar much like Kamogawa at JEF. If anybody cares to look at JEF's goal today it was all started from Kamogawa's great play.

Hayashi has scored for Everton, and subsequently produced the third draw of their winless season as they came from behind to tie Crystal Palace 1-1.

That hauls them off the bottom of the table for the moment.

EDIT: excluding own goals, that was Everton's first goal of the season. So you could say Honoka has been responsible for 100% of their offensive output.. :thumbsup:o_O

Does anyone know if Regina-Omiya from 2nd of November have been already rescheduled or when do they plan to decide about it? I still find nothing on the official website... :cautious:

This isn't the first time Anclas has been relegated. They dropped to the Q-League for the 2018 and 19 seasons after relegation.
But yes it's sad they're (Tsukuba and Anclas) dropping out of the Nadeshiko League but with Nankatsu and Icihara both getting in it shows the competition level of the KLSL. Over the past 3 years.... Fujizakura 2022, Osa Rhea 2023, Ichihara and Nankatsu 2024.

From a regular livestream point of view, from Division 2, we have lost a lot over the last few years
    Bunnys - through promotion
    Shizuoka - promotion
Yamato - promotion (they didn't start again after relegation from D1)
    Norddea - relegation
    Tsukuba - relegation
    Anclas - relegation
That leaves only Kibi and possibly Nankatsu or Bunnys.

Anyway. I'm looking forward to D2 2025, only 18 weeks to go

Nothing yet. Between the Empress' cup and We League cup next month, I guess that game won't be happening in December. They haven't announced anything about the january games yet.

I thought they could have used the same day of one of the two catch-up matches Urawa have to play because they missed them at the time of the AFC Champions' League's group stage. It would be an already pre-determined window, wouldn't it? :cautious:

According to FSU thread here on BigSoccer and other sources, our young Japanese player Ran Iwai suffered a serious knee injury while playing a game of the college championship in USA. Let's hope is not too much serious (i.e. an ACL).

Hahaha I was totally wrong :ninja::speechless:, they have just rescheduled the game and it will be on the 18th of December. It's not even on the same day as one the two catch-up matches Urawa have to play. :cautious:

    Mai Okubo to Bunnys

    https://whitestar-sportsclub.com/topics.php?no=243

Announcement of new player Mai Okubo

    2024.11.11

We are pleased to announce that Mai Okubo will be joining the team (returning to active duty).

    [Profile of Mai Okubo]
Date of birth: September 3, 1996
    Height/weight: 161cm/49kg
    Position: MF
    Hometown: Yamanashi Prefecture
Previous affiliations: Tamo SSS → fortuna SC → Fujieda Junshin High School → Okayama Yugo Belle → Iga FC Kunoichi → JEF United Ichihara Chiba Ladies → AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies

    [Personal comment]
Honestly, I felt that it was somehow uncool or pathetic to retire from soccer and then return to active duty. Some people may think that she is not going to return to the soccer world easily after retiring, or that she should not have retired if she was going to play soccer again. However, when I was honest with myself, I couldn't lie to myself about how much I love soccer and how I want to entertain many people with soccer again. There will be both positive and negative opinions about my return to active duty, but I will work hard every day to show that I have made a comeback with a firm resolve and responsibility, not just in words, but through my actions and results. I will continue to do my best to liven up this club and the local area more than ever before, as well as to meet the expectations of those who support me. I hope to fight together with all of you who support us, aiming for the top, so please continue to support Bunnys Gunma FC White Star.
    Let's definitely get promoted.

Nanoka Iriguchi (plays for Pogoń Tczew, ranked 8th in league) scores her 2nd goal in Polish Ekstraliga.
Iriguchi previously played in Italy, 10 caps in Sassuolo 21/22 (Serie A) and then in Serie B in Cesena 22-24 (only one cap across 2 seasons - looks like she was injuried).
In current season she played in 8 matches for Pogoń Tczew (3x full 90's),

action starts at 15min 23sec of the match (or 35:18 of video)

She started the action with great cross and then she finished it with a goal. :)
