It's not so terrible compared to this: https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_vide...vid/avc1/1270x720/3YBOPPhDILO22LPK.mp4?tag=12
Yeah I know what you mean. Maybe they thought it was okay because the entire pitch was not water logged. The other matches that went ahead did not have any puddles at all on the pitch, though the conditions were less than ideal.
Today's result: WE League Nojima (Kawashima) 1-1 Urawa (Takahashi) Nadeshiko League 2 league changing match Vonds Ichihara (Matsuzaki) 1-0 Anclas
Narumi Miura played whole match, Manaka Matsukubo entered the pitch in 66th minute for NC against Washington.
Stella nearly won this and to be honest they probably should have won, because they had a really good opportunity go begging late in the second-half. Urawa were poor and seemed to have very few ideas going forward thanks to some very good defending from Stella. Stella are the worst team in the competition, but you do have to do more than just turn up to beat them. Admittedly not much more, but a little. Without Seike, Shimada is nowhere near as dangerous as last season and Urawa looked less dynamic on the wings. In the end Urawa - the best team in Asia - in order to beat the worst team in the WE League reverted to long balls into the box to Takahashi. It was not pretty, but it worked. Takahashi is a forward in my opinion and when she goes forward she creates a lot of problems for defenders because she is so big. Urawa do not look that good at the moment, but they do what is necessary to get a result, despite playing badly. They missed Ishikawa in defence. Sakakibara had a day out today pretty much involving herself in all the meaningful attacks from Stella. The goal that Kawashima scored was a thing of beauty worked from the wing. About two times a season they score a goal like this. Urawa still have so many good young players coming through, which they are thankfully giving a bit of playing time to. Today Urawa brought on 17 year-old Satoko Fujisaki who did some good things on the wing. I finally watched this game and I have no idea why Hirakawa got taken off. She created three turnovers, was part of the build up play for the first goal and was a calming influence in midfield. She did not look tired at all. She was replaced by Tsuji who was just a direct replacement, only she did not drop as deep as Hirakawa to help out in midfield. Because of this Little Nadeshiko did not have any of the ball after Hirakawa went off in the second-half. Tsuji played quite well but I do not understand why he made a like-for-like substitution at the 36 minute mark. but Shirai has made some strange decisions. I mean Shinjo was clearly tired, but he just left her out there making poor decisions. I think part of the reason she played poorly was because she was so tired. Anyway, not to worry.
Just starting on fifa+ U17 WWC third place play off ENG vs USA Move along...move along....nothing to see here
Kiko Seike was subbed in at 66th minute for Brighton vs Leicester of Yuka Momiki (subbed in at 61') and Saori Takarada (subbed in at 69').
Hinata Miyazawa benched for MU against Arsenal. Moeka Minami and Saki Kumagai benched for Roma at Sampdoria.
Watching first half Spain-Korea U17 final - there is not much offensive brilliance in the match, but the intensity, aggresion, defensive responsibility, understanding of positioning and tactics are top level of adult football. No offense to other teams, but these two are class above any squads in the tournament (including Little Nadeshiko).
I'm just wondering how long before a red card ESP 1-0...bed...can't listen to this commentary any longer
