Sasaki Norio is the temporary manager of the game vs South Korea and Uchida Atsuto is the assistant coach.
Norio Sasaki's style of football is most probably outdated and he has to be closer to 70 than 60 by now, but I can't help smiling at the idea of watching him sitting on Nadeshiko Japan's bench again, if only for a day! In the end, he's the coach of our only World Cup title so far, so I guess everyone has fond memories of him. .
Momosarowan Ueki Sato? (Daisho Gakuen High School) She scored most of the Osaka goal at Saga 2024 and a good goal vs Miyazaki (Viama) in the semis. Anon Tsuda (Mynavi Sendai Ladies Youth) Only see her for 10 or so minutes playing for Nagoya at 15 years old. Looked fast and dangerous.

I kind of feel Nagoya have thrown away a great chance to become champions this year. They started the season with 8 wins from 9 games, just 1 loss to Viama. If they had carried on with the same drive they had in the first 9 games, who knows. They've had just 3 wins in the last 11 games. They seemed to change from wanting to win to trying to stop the opposition from winning, too much possession around their back 4 and not enough going forward. Anyway, a good win for them that also gives Viama a bit of breathing space. An Anclas win . I really thought they would be doing this more often and Murakami would be up there in the top 10 goal scorers. Kibi were quite fortunate. Izumo hit the bar twice and the post once. Tsukuba vs Fujuzakura was a really good game, more so the second half. Apart from the goals both teams played well but they both also missed a very easy chance, both over the bar. If Tsukuba had played like this all season they would have been easily in the top half of the table. So with Tsukuba and Anclas winning. Was this because the replacement tournament earlier in the week? a wake up call? As it stands now there's 2 points separating Tsukuba 10th and Anclass 12th. Imabari in the middle, with Belle to play tomorrow. If Harima fail to win, Speranza are safe, clear of the relegation zone. ----------------------------------------------- KLSL Wings 0-0 Tokyo International Uni Ichihara 1-0 Jumonji High School With 3 to play Ichihara become KLSL champions for the second year. They had quite a good couple of months. Kanto Region Football Championship Winner KLSL Division 1 Champions Top of the Nadeshiko League Replacement Tournament. Wings (2nd) and Jumonji (3rd) are level on points, level on goal difference. Wings have scored 2 more than Jumonji.
Roma was stopped on a 1-1 draw by Inter: it was Moeka Minami (who played the full game, along with Saki Kumagai) who commited the foul leading to the PK that gave Inter the equalizer. Highlights:
Nadeshiko League 1 H.T....Ehime 1-0 Bunnys Sometimes it's a pleasure getting up at 4.45 am to watch your team.Ehime hit the bar after 30 secs and continue to dominate for the remainder with some nice to watch footie.Skipper Yokoyama scores at 7 mins.Goalkeeper Hamada gets another start and nearly gets lobbed again at 20 mins.Ayumi Oya returns to the club where she played international football ( anybody remember that... Ehime FC Ladies having NT players). ( have a look at the refereeing 'incident' at 43 mins)
Nadeshiko League 1 F.T... Ehime 3-0 Bunnys Ehime FC Ladies were not as 'joined up' as they were in the first half but nevertheless won 3 nil so this viewer isn't complaining...Nagomi Tago scored with a nice solo effort on 86 mins (all her own work) and there was a debut goal for newcomer and substitute Yuka Anzai right at the end.It was good to see three different scorers even if we had to wait till late in the game.I am wondering why the playing surface is excellent because late on it is usually like a ploughed field (perhaps the club has noticed the Ladies team has been playing some good footie and responded accordingly)... On a lighter note Bunnys #7 listed as Ayano Wyatt a very keen and industrious player who was chasing so many lost causes recieved a yellow card for... either going in late on Ehime goalkeeper ..or...for playing football with an outrageous hairstyle
Is anyone watching Urawa-Odisha for the AFC Champions' League? it just started! Edit: under a pouring rain, apparently! Are we in India?
First goal for Urawa at 5': there was an eleborate action in Odisha's box, including a back-heel pass and a shot: Indian GK spills the (wet) ball and Yu Endo taps it in. It will be a long game for Odisha.
