The Man City Nadeshiko are going to have a torrid start to the seasont: 4 games in 11 days: 9.18 Paris FC (away) UEFA C/L 9.22 Arsenal (away) WSL 9.26 Paris FC (home) UEFA C/L 9.29 Brighton (home) WSL Hope to see Yamashita in goal for at least one of these. Yui, I imagine, may play all of them. Fujino I’m sure will get time, given her pre-season performance.

Just watched the highlights: the impression is that we could have avoided the thrilling in additional time, but all's weel that ends well. Welcome to our little place, @Gordon1995!

WWC U20 post match summary reports (from FIFA Technical Study) Japan 7 - 0 New Zealand Japan 4 - 1 Ghana Austria 0 - 2 Japan Japan 2 - 1 Nigeria (pending)
That is just not fun anymore as it goes; one would think it's rigged. I prefer developing rivalries with other countries for a change.
I have now watched the game. It was great to see they could rely on their ability to score goals, two nice goals and a couple of promising chances. However, this has was Japan's toughest game so far, Nigeria put up a good fight and applied good pressure on Japan. It may have been a game that put an end to the notion of Japan as the primary favourite. The tourney might be over after the match against Spain.
On the other hand, it's fatal, if we actually don't bring to this tournament all of the actual best players of that generation.

Nagoya to Izumi Techno FC - Sekura Haruhi When it was announced, pre season, that she was leaving Nagoya, Iga had only announced 1 new signing, Masuda Rena. Not long before, it had been announced that Miyasako Tamami was leaving Iga. Since the announcements were so close together I really thought she was leaving Nagoya to join Iga, central defender for central defender. I don't know what happened with her, reasons for leaving. She went from Nagoya captain to occasional bench member. Translated \\ Notice of affiliation decision // We are pleased to announce that Haruhi Sekura, who played for Asahi Intec Loveridge Nagoya until the 2023 season, will be joining Izumi Techno FC (Kansai Women's Football).

Nadeshiko League 1 H.T...Harima 0-2 Ehime Was just about to type "good game with some nice passages of play from both sides but no goals" when Kuroiwa scored her first goal for Ehime at 43 mins and Tago scored from a long range effort at 44 mins..its a funny old world
Nadeshiko League 1 F.T...Harima 0-3 Ehime Without a doubt Ehime FC Ladies best 90 mins of football of the season so far even taking into account Harimas lowly position in the table..if only they could be this positive and play with such confidence every week they would be a nailed on top three side...Miyu Mori playing in the middle of defence and the understanding she has with new Urawa signing Nishimura has made a massive difference to Ehimes defence and it seems to have affected the way the midfield pass and move....Kuroiwa seems to have been given license to go forward as much as she can hence the goal...if you need to see a thing of beauty this weekend have a look at Kubota's 'have a look and lob the goalkeeper' goal at 85 mins..I can't think of anything to moan about this week (long may it continue) Edit...(just been watching TV news pictures of the mega floods in Europe..you guys ok?)
Not sure why, but Mina Tanaka spent whole Utah Royals - San Diego match on the bench (shown at 4:35). I think she was in good form lately.
Today's result (1): Nadeshiko League Iga (Masuda) 1-0 Speranza Harima 0-3 Ehime (Kuroiwa, Tago, Kubota)
I'm ok, but number of villages in south-western Poland (mostly in moutains or at the doorstep to mountain areas) is flooded, includng lovely medieval town of Kłodzko (population 25k) and small border-town Głuchołazy (population 13k). I think the flooding situation (area-wise) is worse in Czechia.
