Ueda Momo - Nagoya to Speranza

    https://www.speranzafc.jp/news/23413/

Comments: I am Ueda Momo, who joined from Asahi Intec Loveridge Nagoya. I
    am from Hyogo Prefecture.
I will do my best to get used to the team as quickly as possible and contribute to the team's victory! I
am grateful to Coach Ohno, the staff, the supporters, and to be able to play soccer in Osaka. Please
remember me as Momo with natural curls.
I look forward to working with you .

Cant say I'm surprised Speranza was her choice. In the Nagoya vs Speranza game last year (18 Mar 2023) it was a Speranza player that welcomed her onto the pitch first.

3 missed PK's by INAC ... or better, 3 saved PK's by Lola Gallardo. She was bit lucky on Takase's shot but other two weren't good shots - INAC players just passed the ball toward goalkeeper hands.

Nadeshiko PK's curse goes on: Japanese players will have to learn how to take PKs, eventually!

There's no doubt that AFC Women's Champions' League somehow encourage international transfers between Asian women's clubs. :coffee:

In the line-up of this game I see at least four foreign players for Leonessa that I didn't remember we had ever mentioned here on this thread (but it could be my memory issues :x3:): Vyan Sampson, Paola Soldevila and Su-Bin Lee (this last one sounds Korean) among the starters, while at HT Carla Morera was also subbed-in.
Are the Spanish-sounding ones indeed from Spain, as INAC's new coach (suggesting that it was him bringing them)? :cautious:

As far as you know, guys, are they permanent additions to the team or just sort of try-outs for this international tournament? :cautious: It would be quite new for a Japanese women's team to have so many players for overseas. INAC, indeed, had Ji So-Yun, Beverly Goebel-Yanez and Rebecca Moros at some time, but we're talking the beginning of the '10s, when Japan was also probably a popular destination because they were reigning world champions.

Outside of Takase, Narumiya and Yamamoto the rest of INAC MF's and FW's are of age 15-23.
    (23, 22, 20, 20, 19, 18, 17, 15)

Imo three Spanish players and Jamaican were singed in order to balance this otherwise very young INAC's line-up.

From what I've seen in match against Atletico, Carla Suarez (FW, age 27, formerly from Granada) could very well prove to be the next Goebel-Yanez in terms of goalscoring threat. I wouldn't be surprised if she bags 10 or more goals for INAC in upcomming season.

Paola Soldevilla (MF, age 29, formerly from Villarreal) and Carla Morera (DF, age 29, formerly Deportivo Alaves) bring experience and some physical strength.

Vyan Sampson (DF, age 28) moved from JEF Chiba where she didn't get much playing time. Looks like Jordi Ferron has some better ideas how to use her atheltic prowess and Sampson could become an alternate CB in back 3 line-up.

Su-Bin Lee (MF, age 29, formerly Hwacheon KSPO) is another experienced MF.

Soldevilla and Su-Bin Lee both played in U20 NT's.

Akane Miyoshi (Meppen/7:1 in Göttingen) and Rio Takizawa (Sand/2:1 in Andernach) each with a goal in first round DFB-Pokal wins. Four Japanese players in Stuttgart vs Mainz (1:2): Yuka Hirano for Stuttgart and Mamiko Matsumoto, Hiyori Aoki and Yuuka Fukuhara for Mainz. Aoki and Fukuhara were subbed in after 85 minutes.

Kitagawa will be the 1st japanese player for BK Häcken and she is looking forward to play in the Champions League.
BK Häcken is qualified for the 2nd round and could face Arsenal, PSG, Man City, Wolfsburg, Real Madrid or Juventus.

Shibuya Hana, Sure there's a reason but I don't know much about her as to why she might be in the top 10.
