Correction She was not #14, but #15. I seem to be getting senile. I have no one to notify my death to this forum, so when you don't have my posts for long, it's the day. So Nadeshiko Japan have a duty to be the world champion during next thirty years for me.
Have managed to see JPN v COL highlights (9 mins) which should probably be advertised as 'lowlights' as it mainly involved pictures of players being fouled Was it that bad Please post a few words of reassurance Unepomme.Hope your comments were meant in a lighthearted vein
Of course it is. Sorry, I've forgotten that most members in this forum are realistic and serious-minded. I'm still one hundred years old, so I can live more 30 years at least.
The Colombians were more or less an organised group of thugs, but I guess the Nadeshiko have to learn to play teams like that.
Their plan was basically to foul but fall down easily at every contact while influencing the ref with constant whining.
Tomorrow's games: Nadeshiko league 2 (all games start at 13:00) Tsukuba vs Yamato Izumo vs JFA DR Hiroshima vs Belle
We League best eleven season 23-24 according to Kei Matsubata (sports journalist) GK Ikeda : why not DF Mizutani, Ishikawa, Doko : yes MF Kitagawa, Shibata, Kinoshita, Moriya, Shiokoshi : yes Subs : Endo : yes and Sugita. Hmmm not convinced, I would have chosen Ito FW Tanaka : why not. I would have considered Yamamoto or Fujino Seike : yes
She mentioned Dennis (no longer here) and me in a write up about a 2016 U20 friendly in Germany as well informed fans of the Japanese team. Not by name, though. We were the only non-team related fans there because it was a non-public game.
Also, I now remember that I saw her again in Concarneau, Brittany, when I was following the first matches of the U-20 WWC 2018. In that circumstance I also took a photograph of her.
I am going to miss most of the match for work reasons, but I am anyway happy to have the link! I am going to give it a glance from time to time, if I can.
Happy to see Miyazawa starting, by the way: we need to understand if she's ready to a full-force comeback.
