Brilliant - get Klein and Kirovski as our new wingers to replace Costa and Cabral and they'll be too busy on the field to screw up the replacement signings for Costa and Cabral!!!

At least his work rate would probably be the same as the last time he played for us.

Botafogo sent a proposal to have Douglas Costa, from the LA Galaxy. The club offers the ex-Grêmio striker a two-year contract.

I’ll believe it when I see it but I doubt there’s anyone dumber than Klein in the world.

Likely the home country effect, similar to how US national team players are overvalued in MLS than other leagues and how Jona, Gio, and maybe Efra are in Liga MX.

Vanney (on the phone in Portuguese): "So, here's the deal--- we'll give you three-million dollars. And then YOU say you want him on a 2-year contract and are paying a one-million dollar transfer fee...."

I can see this. Before he came to us he flipped in Brazil, right? It’d be crazy to think anyone else would want him, but it could be what you said.

Let’s hope their club president is a guy named Kleinadinho.

I guess with the transfer ban this summer we have to get everything sorted out this offseason. That’s a plus for hitting the ground running. If we can add two above average wingers (replacing Cabral and Costa) we have a very solid roster to start the season.

Hey, Costa and I have something in common as I would also not mind him leaving the LA Galaxy....

I’d be fine getting rid of Costa even if we missed out on the winter deadline. Progress is being more consistent this season, I’m not expecting a Supporters’ Shield caliber side. Set us up to go in to next season with the base the money and the DP slot to be shoot for SS and MLS Cup.

Bryan Tamacas, a 27-year-old RB, appears to have announced his own move to the Galaxy. He was playing in the Salvadorean domestic league and has made 62 appearances for El Salvador's national team. Transfermarkt only values Tamacas at €350,000, so hopefully he's worth the international slot.

He won the "Fighting Spirit Match Award" for this tackle and assist he made at the 2021 Gold Cup against Qatar.

Tamacas visited the club last June.

If it's Araujo new backup, it doesn't make a lot of sense to spend an international spot on a bench player when we already have Leerdam. If Araujo is gone, it's a little bit disappointing to replace him with a soon-to-be 28 years old who has never played outside of El Salvador. Or is it related to Caceres not coming back? Or will he play with Los Dos as a sort of "trial"? It's intriguing.

If he is a regular for the El Salvador national team I’m guessing he’s a lot better than Leerdam (valued at 250k, age 32). Also 28 isn’t that old for an outside back. Many have been successful into their early 30’s. The international slot though is a problem.

Not that I would use an int’l slot on a RB if we are using both Araujo and Leerdam there (both could play elsewhere though), but don’t we have two int’l slots available now - Cabral and Vazquez?

We acquired two last summer to make room for Puig and Caceres, but that was just for the remaining of the 2022 season.

We currently have 8 spots, all are filled : Coulibaly, Caceres, Brugman, Puig, Grandsir, Chicharito, Joveljic, Douglas Costa. That said, it's not a sure thing Caceres and Costa will be back.

It would be nice if we got green cards for guys like chicha, Grandsir and Sega. Guys that have been here a while. Other teams accomplish this.

Don’t get your hopes up, but there were photos of Costa and his agent in Brazil.

Impressive maneuvering if we can get rid of Cabral and Costa this offseason.

The player has to be willing to go through the process and not all want to do so. There are some tax disadvantages, for instance, if you have non-U.S. income from endorsements etc.
