I mean...it is a big stadium but it's also in the middle of no where....I personally wouldn't go to Tochigi for anything but a final...Is there a regulation that these games must be played in neutral venues? It's weird to me that Nojima and Elfen travel west to play in Hiroshima while Regina comes all the way east. If JFA are interested in attendance numbers as they say they are they should start by scheduling matches in easily accessible stadiums. Not to mention the nonexistent PR.
F.T..Empress's Cup Albirex 1 (90+2分 Michigami) - Omiya 0 Yeah finally another win . Next game against Beleza
H.T....Empress's Cup Reds 0 INAC 2 Two goals from Narumiya in as many minutes but I want to know why Moriya is not in the NT squad 2nd half...look out for Naomoto becoming more and more ill tempered if Reds don't score
Empress's Cup Urawa vs Inac ANDO Kozue is playing again as a defender. Even if it's not usual, once they get older, to see experienced players who were FW or attacking MF to get a lower position (defensive MF ou CB) IMO I don't think it is really a good thing for Urawa.
F.T....Empress's Cup Reds 1 INAC 2 Ando gets one back for the Reds but they run out of time Full marks to the Urawa faithful...they made it sound like a quarter final Cup game (She may be immensely talented but as soon as I hear the name Naomoto I automatically hear the words..."and the Academy Award goes to....."
Today's result: Empress's Cup quarter final Beleza (Ueki 2, Fujino) 3-0 Regina Albi (Michigami) 1-0 Ohmiya Urawa (Ando) 1-2 Inac (Narumiya 2) Nojima 0-2 Chifure (Nishikawa, Miura)

Fun fact. Moeka Minami picked in round best XI for the 5th time. Only 2 other players: (MF) Vero Bouqete (Fiorentina) and (FW) Tabitha Chawinga (Inter) have the same record. As things stands now Minami is well on her way to claim Serie A MVP of the 2022/23 season. (Probably will not happen but she is Serie A best defender by far) Serie A - Best XI - after 13 rounds: 5 times - DF - Moeka Minami (Roma) 5 times - FW - Tabitha Chawinga (Inter) 5 times - MF - Vero Bouqete (Fiorentina) 4 times - MF - Manuela Giugliano (Roma) 4 times - MF - Julia Grosso (Juventus) 4 times - FW - Kosovare Asllani (Milan) 3 times - FW - Emile Haavi (Roma) 3 times - DF - Elena Linari (Roma) 3 times - MF - Giada Greggi (Roma) 3 times - MF - Arianna Caruso (Juventus) 3 times - DF - Amanda Nilden (Juventus) 3 times - DF - Lisa Boatin (Juventus) 3 times - FW - Elisa Polli (Inter) 3 times - MF - Ghoutia Karchouni (Inter) 3 times - DF - Stefanie van der Gragt (Inter) 3 times - DF - Anja Sønstevold (Inter) 3 times - FW - Martina Piemonte (Milan) 3 times - GK - Laura Guiliani (Milan) 3 times - DF - Małgorzata Mesjasz (Milan)

🤝 @buchi_mana joins us on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23 season!— Tottenham Hotspur Women (@SpursWomen) January 18, 2023 On loan... that's good for Iwabuchi. Perhaps I read this all wrong but imo this says that Arsenal is at least intrested in renewing her contract after WWC.. on the other hand it dosen't bode well for Eidevall.staying long in Arsenal. She shared her feelings on this controversial move. 移籍に関して自分の気持ちを少し🙇♀️ pic.twitter.com/OpJpdELA2d— Mana Iwabuchi 岩渕真奈 (@buchi_mana) January 18, 2023 "I have decided to move to Tottenham even though it is a loan. I know the relationship Arsenal and Tottenham have and I had to think this through many times. I do know this move will be controversial and many people won't have a favorable opinion of it but for now my job is to play at a club that needs me. Also, now that I am entering the twilight years of my career, I had to consider my own dreams and goals. In this process I may have betrayed many people. I am especially sorry for the Arsenal fans who I love. No matter where I am I would like to be my self and give it my all. This season that will be at Spurs." (I couldn't translate the last sentence well but basically she's going to do her best) It comes across like she’s saying bye in her comments. From what I heard she had a hard time finding a club that could give her game time while remaining in the league. After the WC I suppose that dosent matter as much…— Alex Bishop (@ABishop32) January 18, 2023 It's really unfortunate the way her career seems to be ending. JFA and Takakura at least partly to blame imo. They blocked an offer for her back when Montemurro was in charge of Arsenal because Takakura wanted her NT players to stay in Japan. Iwabuchi willingly gave it all up for nothing basically.
I sure hope this is a little premature. In the worst case I'd expect 2-3 more years. In the best case she finds a place where she wants to play even longer.
