According to AD Sportwereld pessimism in the run up to the match is growing.

  2. The defenders he faces arenot from the Eredivisie, but that makes him an unknown entity for them too.

I think in defense will be Ito-Itakura-Watanabe, since Itakura is captain expect him to start... would have thought Tomiyasu otherwise...
Rest seems pretty clear, but who knows... we'll see in a few hours.

A lot of Dutch fans don't like Koeman as manager. Some also think that their attack isn't that strong. Koeman has struggled with getting results against top level opposition.

    Yes true. Lets see tonight.
    Their defense should be good.

Yeah look guys Japan is a good squad but Netherlands have a better one so anything but a loss will be a success.

    Wish for an upset again

So far, all AFC teams are unbeaten. Let's keep it that way. Good luck against Netherlands.

What a flock of owls. Asian owls.

I add my line: Netherlands is clearly the stronger side. Malen crushed the Serie A defences, he delivered tons of goal in a defensive minded league. He will score a brace against JNT weak defence. Zion as we know has more chances to brainfart then save the day.

So no questions: the guys up there MUST score as much as possible. Ueda need to score. Kubo need to score. Ito need to score. Maeda (since he will play in the 2nd half) need to score.

Let's see if the midfield will survive this match. If not Moriyasu will be the most guiltier of all.

I am more worried about Weghorst than Malen. Stamina will win the game for us, like it did for South Korea.

    Line up is in

    Suzuki
    Watanabe - Taniguchi - Ito
    Doan (C) - Sano - Kamada - Nakamura
    Kubo - Maeda
    Ueda

So no surprises. Even though Itakura is named captain of the squad he doesn't start. Doan is team captain today. I'm happy with this line up

I would expect Maeda to be LWB - makes more sense given his defensive ability.

I would have preferred to see Ito instead of Maeda as Maeda is a striker and not really a good left wing player.

  23. Wow, that's brave against Dumfries and Summerville, two speed demons.
Ito has to do a really good job on the left side.
