    Kubo should have done a lot better there.

    edit: On the first good chance of the match, he had time and space to line up a better shot with the left.

    Outside of a few half-chances, the first half was rather boring. Moriyasu better pull his finger out and start injecting something different to pile up the pressure on Aguirre's men.

    Mitoma, Doan and Kamada looked like they didnt even want to play. And minamino miss two clear chances.

    moriyasu needs to push these players much harder. if you dont perform, you get benched. But as I expect, JFA's culture is all about media friendly and not about winning

    Well, that was absolute s**t of a test match.

    Minamino was the worst player on the pitch in white tonight.

    I also agree about the other 3 players. All of them should be flogged to the bench.

    South Korea defeated the US by a score of 2-0 today. Anything short of that scoreline on Tuesday night (local time) should be serious cause for concern, especially when the USMNT are awful these days.

    Nah, South Korea was the home team against US. It won't be the same for Japan and USMNT will be more fired up now. We'll see though.

    Doan was often a beast at Freiburg, and crazy now at Frankfurt. His passion, sharpness and speed is in incedible.Other players at their clubs too. That must have to do in first place with Moriyasus tactics or motivations.

    Doan is almost a shadow for the JNT and a good example for those big performance gap.

    But yes, maybe it would help to bench some of our stars on the other hand, to show that your don't have a starter for sure.

    Do you think that those 3-4-2-1 system also is a problem ? Looks like defense wise its a solid one but for the offense it's problematic.

    Kubo in front of Mitoma and Minamino in front of Doan is maybe not the the best idea, cause Kubo has a tendency to play on the wing, Mitoma also of course and Doan for example is not that effective like in Freiburg/Frankfurt when he is behind a double 10. Maybe I am wrong but I think that doesn't work.

    Quite the opposite. The US team and fanbase are completely demoralized. So demoralized that the US fans cannot and will no longer show up. Cynicism and defeatism have destroyed the MNT program.

    We expect to lose big, like by 5 goals or more.

    Japan = Son Goku

    USA = Mr. Satan

    That's the golf in both individual and collective talent between the two teams.

    I hope that is the strong message I was thinking on the other day about the likes of Minamino, Doan, Mitoma and Kamada.

    That stupid system with 3 CBs at the back is going to get us killed. The boys in blue are lucky to get out of trouble unscathed so far.

    How on Earth did Ito not test the goalkeeper better there? That should have been a tap-in on either side of the goalkeeper.

    Something clearly has to change out there because the team is going nowhere with the way they play tonight.

    Sorry to say this, but Sekine has been totally out of his depth tonight. Second time he looked like a construction cone, and he pays the full penalty this time.

    The Japanese press better rip everyone apart after this sh*tshow of an international break. I can't remember the last time an entire international break has been this bad for Japan.

    The back line is just ****ing awful! I just can't put it otherwise because the other team are the ones who could have scored 6 on us.

    That tactical change (3ATB) combined to the wrong choice of personnel is a recipe for a disaster. Eat a pie, Moriyasu.

    edit: If Japan ends up being humiliated by Brazil in October, the JFA better consider pulling the plug off on Moriyasu. It's not the first time that there would be coaching controversy so close to a World Cup with Japan anyway. I'm sick and tired of the guy.

    Everyone was bad. Passing wasn’t good. Press wasn’t effective. Defense was porous. Mochizuki, Seko, Sekine were especially bad. I wasted $17 to sub to hbo max to watch this..

    this game was asking for Ueda. Someone with more strength up top. We basically played a bad B team.

    With all the injury-prone players, they gotta test the subs at some point. Probably better now than against Brazil. Though I expect a loss against Brazil either way.

    Moriyasu said after the game that Japan played a good one, "played with passion and heart".

    What a joke.
