She certainly played deeper for Young Nadeshiko, but her finishing was poor.

Going into that World Cup I had not really seen her play, but I had heard quite a lot about how good she was, so I was expecting a lot more.

However, since the World Cup - from what I have seen - she has looked very good. Her finishing has also been exceptional like the goal on the weekend.

I just like that she has played well at senior level. It bodes well for the future.

However she is not a striker. I just wish Japan produced a few more genuine strikers.

Yes, that's basically what we need to really compete.

Thanks for the correction. Is it official? The WE League website still has Tanaka leading the top-scorers' rankings with 4 goals. :cautious:

    Updates from Serie A Femminile:

    - on Saturday, Roma-Pomigliano 2-0: Moeka Minami was on the pitch for all of the 90' and she apparently had a good game. Roma leads the league and have now a 6 points advantage over Juventus (who had a 1-1 draw vs Como on Sunday);

    - today, Parma-Inter 2-2. The draw vs the last-placed team in the league wasn't sure a good result for Inter, who could have reached 2nd-place along with Juventus and have to temporarily settle with 3rd-place instead. Mana Mihashi made a mistake in 2nd Half that led to 2nd Parma's goal and was subsequently subbed-out 5 minutes after that, at 65'.

    Highlights of both games:

The JFA, WE League and the FA have signed a partnership agreement in Doha.

    The agreement aims to↓

Strengthening relations between the two countries for the mutual benefit, promotion, growth and success of women's soccer in both countries.

-Exchange of knowledge in the areas of organization, marketing, grassroots, etc.

    -Organizing matches/coaching programs

-Women's participation program in soccer management, gender equality.

As with the deal WE League made with the Spanish league, I doubt that anything will actually happen but I do think the FA care more about the women’s game than RFEF so hopefully I am wrong.

Today, Roma won by 0-3 an away game vs Arezzo, a Division 2 team, in the group stage of the National Cup, Coppa Italia. Moeka Minami started, but she only played 1st Half and was subbed-out on a 0-2 score, to rest her, as it had been already done with many others players, and to have them all ready for the league's and UEFA WCL's games. :coffee:

Actonians - FA Cup 2nd round (27th Nov)

    Ashford Utd 1:3 Actonians
Ebine Chihiro and Kanno Natsumi were in the starting line up.
Kanno (left midfield) got the 3rd goal and again was selected as the 'Player of the Match'.
    https://www.actonianslfc.com/teams/206941/match-centre/0-5498567/report

The 3rd round, 11th Dec, they play Hashtag Utd away.
They have played the already in the league (4th Sept) losing 4:2 to them. Kanno playing as a striker in that game scored Actonians second. Again, 'Player of the Match'.
    https://www.actonianslfc.com/teams/206941/match-centre/1-10734973/report

They're playing at home this Sunday (4th) at what looks like a better venue so we'll see what happens weather wise, maybe I'll go.

I am not actually following the men's World Cup, but it's impossible to know nothing about it, and I have been said that you were serious about Germany boycotting the knock-out stage!

And your avatar seems to say that you appreciated Japan's collaboration. :p

Only serious part of this message: it's really a shame and a sign of the injustice of this world that the only big team going out it's the one who had the courage to do the right thing and who dared to express the only form of protest any player ever tried to make at this event. German players knew better than only thinking at the competition-part of the tournament: it doesn't matter that they went out, they did the right thing and they shown that they're not just players, they're first of all human being who exercised their freedom of expression. :notworthy:

I`m surprised that someone who doesn`t follow men`s football recognizes Ritsu Doan (wearing an Arminia jersey). Unfortunately Arminia had not enough money to buy Doan after he played for them on loan and was relegated the following season.:(

I actually didn't: I just recognized a random Japanese male player wearing an unknown jersey and I supposed he was one of the NT members eliminating Germany. Apparently, I was correct in my supposition. :p
