Over his career Pavon averages a bit under 1 assist or goal per game, maybe 0.8. Thats worth something. Its not near Keane or Donovan or Ibra value, but its more than any other player we have on the team.

    How
How is he an asset when, as a winger, 4 out of 6 passes in the final 3rd are directly to the opposition? That's exactly how it appears to me.

Hey, I’ve been one of his biggest critics this season due to his repeatedly mishitting easy passes. But he is a beast with the ball at his feet and he’s by far our best offensive player. Pavon has 14 g+a this season, Lletget is 2nd with 8 g+a, Araujo has 4 and no one else on the team has more than 2. He’s clearly our best player this season. Sadly that’s not a high bar.

Maybe Pavon playing without a decent striker is effecting his judgement??

Come on you guys. Chicharito is a dud so far, and Zubak is USL level. Neither are really getting on the end of Pavon's crosses or passes. Pavon has had to shift into more of a wide forward than a winger this season whereas last year with Ibra, Pavon was solely focused on assisting the striker and he was REALLY GOOD AT IT.

He had a much better finisher in the box available last season and that helped his assists but he played pretty much the same. His centering passes were all over the place and his finishing skills (3 goals on 34 shots) were just as inconsistent as this season . He had a 1.0 g+a per game vs 0.8 this season but both tiny sample sizes.
Hes a great athlete with strength and quickness, superb dribbler and nothing more. Terrible passer and finisher.

Ageed. It's hard to believe that all of Pipo's performance issues were due to his playing left cb vs right cb. Also it's hard to accept, that if this really is a fix, that it was not noted previously and acted on by GBS.
