Yedlin and Araujo could do some serious interchanging along the entire right side, which would keep opposing teams off balance and be interesting to watch.
Do the Gs really need another CB though? Wouldn't want the team to give up anything of importance since Steres and De Puy are good enough with Gonzales as a backup.
Steres and De Puy have been very good, but would you bank on them for the whole season? It'd be nice to have back-up that's not Pipo, especially a young American. It also may be hard for us to keep Araujo long-term, so we could be looking at Yedlin there. I wonder which way we're leaning.
Twitter reporting that Y. Gonzalez is finally on his way to LA. No word on how long after he arrives he will be available to play (Visa, quarantine, etc)
I think De Puy and Steres have been good enough for the whole season. Not opposed to another CB as long as it's not an arm and a leg to get it done.
CB has been our best position this season, imo. Neither Steres nor DePuy are world beaters individually but they play well together and have been two of our most consistent players.
Hearing whispers that Sint-Truidense are looking at LA Galaxy’s Julian Araujo. This is the same club that employs Chris Durkin.— MLS Transfers (@MLSTransfers) September 18, 2020 Rumors about Araujo leaving will be more and more frequent. If we can keep him beyond 2021, it will be amazing.
Rumor is now Yedlin to Turkey, which is not too surprising. I think his wages are too high for his position for MLS.
There was a post now deleted, that included a link to a rumor that the Galaxy had just signed a loan agreement for a 26 year old central defender. Apparently it was another case of LAFC being confused with the Galaxy.
We should go in for Carlos Zambrano. I know we were linked with him before the season, and I think we missed a good player there. His play style would suit the MLS pretty well.
Probably nothing to this, but there have been rumors that Chicharito's wife is unhappy and the Galaxy can't be very happy with him. Question is why someone would take him. #LAGalaxy also talking to Chivas Guadalajara on either sending Chicharito on loan or selling him to the club.— LA Galaxy Rumors (@LAG_Rumors) October 21, 2020
I would be very happy if this were true. His play has been so bad that it makes the failed DP signings of Juan Pablo Angel, Gerrard and Gio look like good decisions..
Chicharito is staying unfortunately. Hopefully the plan for next season is to get him a partner kind of like Gordon was for Keane for a while. Balloteli is available so let's go ahead and become the biggest meme team by getting him too. It's almost certain JDS will be a TAM player next season if he renews, so we will have at least 1 DP spot available. We really want to keep Pavon but it depends if Boca is willing to work with us. No matter what though, it looks like we are going to have a 6th rebuild in 6 years this offseason. Almost as if the people in charge should not be in charge of this shit.
Aron jóhannsson is reportedly very interested in playing in the MLS. As many of us know, he has been injury prone as all hell for years now, but he seems to be playing a lot as of late. We need a striker to partner Chicharito so who knows?
But doesn't Chicharito need to play to have a partner? We need a striker who can play on his own and occasionally when Chicharito is healthy.
Chicharito needs to be cut. We need guys who have something to prove, we need hustle and determination. Fire everyone and start over...again.
Galaxy not gonna pay big for Pavon. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020...niors-they-wont-pay-20-million-cristian-pavon
I wonder if that signals anything about Schelotto's future. I think, either way, flipping him was the best option for us, especially if we're stuck with Chicharito. I think we probably need to use that slot on a proven #10.
Don't care who is manager next year, a player like Pavon is suited to basically anyone. He is a real talent, 24 years old, and established here already. Sign Pavon.
